Nope, no Fanime (never was into anime cons XP). PAX Prime, though... hell yeah :D Was one of the lucky ones who nabbed three-day passes before they sold out (which was in only a few hours!).

R_KasaharaI only lasted four episodes with Mahoromatic. There was some big-breasted character that seemed pointless and unfunny, like fanservice for its own sake instead of being the icing on the cake (as Yoko in TTGL is).
Haha, yeah, it's pretty extreme in its fanservice. When I first started watching it I was like, whoa, this was on TV? But then you kind of get used to it after a while. TBH it's what was in the manga, and the mangaka was originally a doujin artist, so....

R_KasaharaSure, I can show you the case on Ikea's website at least. It looks like this setup with these mirrored inserts instead of the regular shelves and these glass panels on the top. Expensive, but worth it! I've been debating adding lights, but most of the good ones are corded, which would mean drilling, and that would be risky now that the mirror inserts have been set in.
Oh, wow, that seems like it'd be pretty cool-looking! I always like seeing other people's set-ups but I really can't afford a nice one of my own b/c that's just money I could spend on figures, lol. Also, I don't want to invest too much in furniture b/c it's hard to move. Maybe one day when I own my own place I can do it. Right now I have a couple of Detolfs that my aunt bought me for Christmas one year and a couple of cabinets that came with the place I'm living in and that's about it. Most of my collection is still in boxes. Well, was; it's all over my floor now since I'm trying to update everything on here and then see what I want to get rid of.

R_KasaharaThe Turks were sub-villains in Final Fantasy VII; they wear dark suits and have a cool theme. A couple of them (Tseng and Reno) are amongst my favorite characters from that game.
Ah, pretty cool theme. Not sure why all the cool bad guys wear suits and stuff. Figures of authority, maybe? But that only explains why they're bad guys and not why they're cool. Maybe they're throwbacks to the heroic bloodshed films of the Chow Yun-Fat/John Woo glory days, haha.

R_KasaharaWell, it's like anywhere else; the rare stuff is more expensive ;) Speaking of second-hand goods, just got these puppies in. The discounted prices were great, but the store I got them from is going out of business; kinda got mixed feelings about this purchase because of that.
Oh, nice loots! That store still seems to be open, though. They have some Jackie Chan CDs, lol. And yeah, I'm one of those vultures who loves a good store closing sale; built a good portion of my collection that way. xD;;

R_KasaharaI love my Support Mikus, and I just got Support Kaito in now, too. Considered getting Support Luka, but the extras weren't enough to convince me to get her, especially since I already have the original one :P
Yeah, my cousin got me the original Luka for Christmas and then I saw the Support ver and I was like, That Just Figures! (shameless blog plug, lol). I wasn't going to get her since I didn't have the other Support ones but then I saw the ponytail and I was like, hnnnnnnnng. I'm not really into ponytails, but the pictures with her wearing it were just too much for me, lol. Now I gotta see about tracking down the twins, since I'd wanted them at one point too, but then forgot about them. ^^;

R_KasaharaYeah, April @_@ The Sonic the Hedgehog Nendo and Alphonse Elric Revoltech are the big ones for me this month, but there's a few others. I also recently ordered the last seven volumes of Twin Spica; got the first five after hearing that Vertical was going to let it go out of print, and fortunately, I liked it enough to buy more.
Ah, I heard about Twin Spica and Vertical. I hear good things about Twin Spica. So did the April order come in yet?

R_KasaharaAlso still waiting to see when the Falcom Heroines Nendo Petit set gets released. It was supposed to be out last month. GSC just loves delays, I guess.
Haha, too much BRS and Fate stuff, prolly. Plus all this talk of re-releases. I can't believe they're re-releasing Triumphant Excalibur. That thing wound up in the bargain bin at so many places that GSC had to tell Amiami to stop selling to foreigners, lol. I guess they can re-release all they want but let's see if Amiami, HobbySearch, and the rest will be dumb enough to stock them.

As for Falcom Heroines, I wouldn't even know what you were talking about if my cousin hadn't given me one of his extra trading figures, lol. That's a pretty old series, no?

Noice! There are your Twin Spicas, haha. I have like two years' worth of loot posts to upload, lol. I started doing them by month, too, but then I got lazy. I took the pictures, just never got around to uploading. Last one was April 2010, I think.

Haha, nah, I'm dumb and I don't pre-order usually. Besides Luka, I only did it one other time by accident when I thought the Shizuru Fujino Beach Queens had already been released; usually I wait until after the release. Sometimes I get lucky and I can find figures for cheap that way; other times, I get to look at my friends' figures and wonder what could've been. lol

R_KasaharaTTGL was the series that got me interested in Gainax again; they started going downhill with Mahoromatic, IMO. Didn't like what I saw of Abenobashi Maho Shotengai either. I haven't seen any of Panty & Stocking w/Garterbelt yet, though I'd like to. Also gave Petit Princess Yucie a shot late last year, and the first episode was decent; would like to watch the rest sometime.
Haha, Mahoromatic is one of my favorites! If it weren't for that crap last episode, it'd prolly be in the top 3 all-time shows. Absolutely hated He Is My Master, though. Wanted so very much to like it but it was such a frustrating show I flipped tables (and this was before flipping tables was cool, lol).

R_KasaharaStarCraft II was very good, but kind of a let-down in the story department. Still looking forward to the Zerg and especially the Protoss campaigns (I don't do much multiplayer nowadays, but typically play Toss).
LOL, that's mostly gibberish to me. xD;; I *have* heard there's this new thing called TERA and something about arrows to the knee.. :3a

R_KasaharaI love suits in general, but I don't care for the Fate series. Might try a split one of these days to get the suit from that Saber figma, but I don't like having incomplete figures either. Need more good Turks figures :(

One of my friends just got back from Japan. She saw a few of my wanted items but they were pretty ridiculously priced. Who said second-hand goods were cheaper there? lol She did bring back a Support ver. Miku Nendo though. Was afraid my Support Luka would have to be alone, lol.

Any new purchases for you? It's April, bwaha.

I purchased Monster after I started reading 20th Century Boys and fell in love with it, I was able to get all the volumes at a bit under the MSRP (buy 3 get the 4th free). Was expensive to buy them new all at once but was def worth it.

R_KasaharaSaw the post with your collection on The Manga Critic and thought the name "Lovely Duckie" sounded familiar ^^ Enjoyed the interview there, and good advice regarding OOP volumes; I had learned about such problems the hard way with Phoenix (vol. 4), but was eventually able to find it at MSRP.

I'm looking to sample Battle Angel Alita sometime in the near future to see if it's a series I'm going to love. A few volumes seem annoying to find.

R_KasaharaEh, I think they could've done a better job of that (also, I kind of miss the presence of Oracle this time around). AssCreed and other games mainly aimed at guys have some great, strong female characters who aren't sexpots so I'm not sure that's much of an excuse ;)

I think it's mainly just DC Comics trying too hard, a bit like the New 52...

Hmm I agree, but it still doesn't deter from the fact that game companies will continue to shed women in that light. That's not to say that all developers do that or that it's the standard, but it is the case in a large percentage of the games out there. Just as strong female characters are also starting to make dominant lasting appearances. At the end of the day visual eye candy sells, and that's encompassing everything... the characters, game-play, game environments etc etc. But yeah they could have toned it down on the sensuality, but meh! lol!

Indeed, but then again this is a game geared for teenage to middle aged guys so of course the women will be dressing provocatively and scantily clad at that. Not much one can do but look on... lol. Yep bats shall be mine!
