The first time I ordered from them and received my package, it came with no protection/bubble wrap. Half of the box was empty with nothing to protect the figures in it, which bothered me, but the figures weren't damaged, so I was ok with it. The second time I ordered, the box was just the right size and shape for the figure, yet again they didn't used anything to protect. Third time! The same: Exact box shape that fit the figure. BUT The box was damaged. And inside, the box of my figure was also heavily damaged. All of my current PO's are from them, i'm worried they will suffer the same fate..

Their private warehouse made me completely change my mind about them. It's the most useful thing since ever! The fact that they don't undervalue and have slightly higher prices than other shops keeps me from making most of my orders with them, but their selection of prize figures and the choice to wait until you have a bunch to ship them together is GREAT. Gotta love the private warehouse.

I ordered P.O.P Rebecca with SAL shipping to Europe. I was prepared to get it from the customs office, but HLJ is very professional, they have a label on the package that states all the necessary information!
The packaging was very good, no damage to the box at all.
I also liked that I was able to see the shipping costs for the item before buying.
Offering a cheap(er) registered shipping method for countries where Registered SAL is not available would be nice (Air Small Packet is possible for most countries)!

I bought mainly gacha's and merch from HLJ but also MSP and Figuarts Zero (other i buy somewhere else because of customs). I really like the option that you can search via JAN and they have a awesome customer support, i received answers in always 1 day, yesterday it was only 8 min!
They let you cancel items which most shops don't which is a awesome point. I always order figures there (even if i get charged for customs) where i am not sure if i really want them.
It's my favorite online shop. I only wish they would ship books or small things like clear files via a thick envelope.

I ordered 3 POP figures there by the time. Killer, Eustass Kid and SA Nami.
Everything was proceded really fast and it was shipped almost imediatly. But i was kinda disappointed with the packaging. The box was huge and heavy due to Kids Box.
HLJ put some of those "air-bags" into the box so he figure boxes wouldnt move in the package. Whats a plus for me. But between the figure boxes and the carton layer was nothing what lead to damages on the boxes of Kid.
I would buy there again but if i chose something big and heavy i would probably try to get it somewhere else.

I've shopped from them for a full decade and glad they're still around. Their warehouse service is GREAT! You can cancel hassle-free items ordered to the warehouse all the way up until they request payment. I especially love that you can add/delete each item in the warehouse to fully customize what goes in each package.
They also used to be slow with shipping, but they've totally sped up recently and are now on par with the other big sellers. It's great!
Now I wish they would just stock Pokemon more consistently...

AmiAmi has always been my main go to store, but HLJ has long been there to pick-up the odd few bits - mainly prize/trading figures and merch. The 60 day Private Warehouse is convenient for combined shipping and the freedom to cancel is useful. However, an increasing stack of contras besides those listed by others, threatens our consumer relationship. Offering of back-orders never fulfilled, failing to offer full sets of figures and worst of all, replacing your orders with alternative items without notification and dodging responsibility by blaming the manufacturer.

Somehow I had 2 of the same in an order after payment I noticed ( I did not doube click as they suggested, I really have no cue what happened), before shipment. They would not let me cancel this item, or get a refund, or even try to help me with this problem in any way, I would have taken store credit. They need to correct their payment system. The only good thing about this store is their cancellation policy during pre-order. I won't stop myself from buying from them in the future, but this did leave a nasty taste in my mouth about their customer service.
