23 days ago - VeroxionI'm a little disappointed that I was NOT informed about this on an order. I had paid for it and it was sitting there for 2-3 weeks before I had to check the status. No explanation on what 'manual verification' was. No email. I had to contact customer support, who then explained that they had to manually verify my card details (this was my second purchase).
I don't mind if you have to manually verify, but at least let me know? An email explaining the status of my order, and how to proceed would have been great. Instead I was stuck wondering why shipping was taking so long.
Reply from Anime IslandHello Veroxion, sorry you experienced an issue with the credit card payments. The system should have automatically emailed you at the same time you ordered from us that the status was not complete if the status of Payment Verification occurs. We will review the code for the emails and make sure it is still set to do so. Do note we do not have the ability to monitor all declined/incomplete order statuses due to the high volume nature of people attempting orders with stolen credit cards. Customers should ALWAYS make sure they didn't receive a verification email and that the order is complete.

2 months ago - eizvI pre-ordered Alphamax Tenjiku Aoi, fully paid to begin with and waited for a whole year only to tell me that they will issue me a refund as they cannot get a hold of the figure. Now I have to scrap finding her in aftermarket price. I have contacted them multiple times, telling me that it was going to be released by the end of X month till this happened. Their service is getting worst. Yes their price is good but it's not even worth it if they cannot fulfill your order. 0/10 Buyers beware!
Reply from Anime IslandWe are sorry, sometimes a figure gets allocated by the vendor to dealers. It does not happen often but when it does it affects multiple dealers and is out of our control.

Very Competitive price
Either customer service or mail system is poor.
After I placed an order, I sent my info to Anime-island for "manual verification processes". The customer service said he will forward my info to the accounting department.
After a week, I sent emails to them as I did not get any feedback (the order is still marked manual verification required); I got no response. I sent messages to their Facebook and MFC account; I still got no response.
I now decide to cancel my order as they do not provide any explanation after three week
Reply from Anime IslandUntil an order is cleared by our credit card processor the order is not complete and nothing besides waiting for it to clear is possible (except cancelling it completely). We apologize but our card processors are more stringent than ever with stopping fraud before it happens. Unfortunately it also seems this puts extra burden on them to complete the charges for us in a timely manner. We simply cannot give an update until the order clears, once we have sent them the requested info it is up to them to clear the order.

2 months ago - DondakeFor the most part, I only look to amiami for my figure orders, but anime-island has its benefits as well: all their prices are in US currency, they offer free shipping, and they have a great selection to choose from. Didn't deal with any customer service staff, so I don't know how good they are. All in all, good retailer.

the website REALLY needs updating its like a high schooler made it
if you put down the 20% deposit itd be useful to know exactly how much you pay back
overall 9/10 and i plan to use the shop more as i have two more pre orders with anime island^^
Reply from Anime IslandHello Weeb, thank you for the feedback. The bottom of your box was probably slashed open by customs as we would have not sent a opened box to you. DO note customs in each country has the right to open any parcel coming into that country.

4 months ago - BeckOrdered my Korra Nendoroid from them. Their website is kind of simple but their prices are good and they have a good selection of figures.
Their packaging was very good. My figure was well protected.
The shipping was quite fast and it took round about 15 days to receive my order (USA => France). Also the package value was lowered to avoid customs/import duties.
Overall, after a first order, i would definitely buy from them again.

Good pricing and shipping options, but the site is ugly and clunky and their 20% deposit payment route is confusing and hard to use once the order is ready. Overall I'd recommend them but I wish they'd make their system easier to use.

8 months ago - GerzzogAnime Island is one of my favorite sites to buy figures on. The packaging is some of the best around. My figures never come damaged. I highly recommend their site for all you figure needs.
