Today we will be taking a look at SKYTUBE's latest figure, the ever popular Kan'u Unchou captured in mid repose after a particularly difficult battle from the Xtreme Xecutor series. She is manufactured by alphamax and was a standard released in June of 2011 retailing for 9,400 Yen. At the time of this review she is still available from various stores so if you do decide to acquire her you will have plenty of options. The objective today is to see if this particular figure is worth considering with so many Kan`u figures out there.

Warning!!!! Some of the pictures in this article may be considered NSFW, proceed at your own risk.

Please understand a score of 10 will never be given as there is always room for improvement no matter how perfect a figure.

Packaging: 8/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡♡

alphamax only employed 3 window panels but the primary one just dominates. Almost the entire front of the packaging consists of the window panel which also wraps around to the left side. The other two window panels are located on the top and the right side. Due to the blister design, you can't really see anything clearly through those portals but that doesn't matter due to the front portal. The entire figure is easily viewable from it and you could easily leave her in the box and miss out on very little of the figure. The design and layout were adequate serving it's only purpose of showing off the figure enclosed within.

Dimensions of the packaging:
H: 180 mm
W: 200 mm
D: 135 mm

A light weight, non-corrugated cardboard was used to make up the packaging. The packaging is very compact, barely larger than the figure and very light. Shipping shouldn't be an issue for this figure at all. It's actually pretty strong for the most part. The weakest point is the Front/Left corner due to the large window panel that wraps around.

A typical two piece blister was used, note they did not secure the blister pieces with tape. Even though the pieces fit snugly together, I was surprised by the lack of tape you usually see used for that added security to prevent shifting. Various parts of her are covered in plastic sheets to protect from rubbing and paint transfer. They did a pretty decent job of minimizing the plastic covering as most of the figure was not distorted/obscured while in the packaging.

I thought long and hard about it and I was really tempted to give the max score possible. However, I just feel it was lacking that they didn't include an illustration of the scene that inspired the creation of the figure and they could have beefed up the protection just a little more. In any case, they did a nice job.

Sculpting: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

Sculpting credits go to 2% who has worked on several figures for alphamax with a good mix of both cold cast and PVC. Below you can see another Kan`u 2% worked on so you have a good idea of what to expect.

She is of course 1/7th in scale and there are two cast off pieces which seem very fragile. I'm afraid I'll break something when I install or remove them.

She looks great, right? Well, the good news is she is a great as she looks. There are no issues to speak of besides those fragile cast off pieces and something that has plagued many figures before her... her fingers do not match when compared to each other in regards to size... It's minor enough that you have to look for it to notice and plenty of figures have this "issue". It's common enough I'm guess most people don't care, I guess I'm in the minority. In any case, aside from those two things I only have good things to say about her. Let's start with her face. The shape and contour are just perfect. Look at those full lips of hers and that cute little nose. Her jawline is just right.

Zooming out we see her lovely trademark hair, long and lustrous. The detailing was nicely executed from the various strands of her hair that stands out to how it's laid out on the stairs and ground. And of course if you look above, you see her one lock of hair sticking up. Her bangs frame her face perfectly with both the coverage and details.

Here you can see her bead and also note what a great job they did hiding the seam in her jawline. It's well integrated and not really noticeable except under magnification.

Moving on down, we look at her beautiful swan-like neck that meets the well defined collarbones. And you can't pass up that amazing cleavage. However, as noted the cast off pieces are fragile/brittle but also do not integrate perfectly with the figure. You can see the pieces stand out and not blend in. You're better off just leaving them off... Even though her torn outfit isn't the main attraction, they did a fairly good job with the details and accentuating her amazing physique.

And of course I don't think we can miss her gravity defying breasts. Even though she's reclining her breasts seam to defy gravity, don't get me wrong I'm not complaining and love that tear drop shape. 8Þ They are nicely shaped and very appealing to the eye from the nipples on down. There are no ugly seams that you encounter with some figures when you examine the underboobs. You can tell a lot of care and attention was put into them and it really shows. I really like the transition from the nipples to the rest of her breasts, the shape and flow just looks great. Often times I see them screw this transition point up by just employing round breasts that basically look like two balloons/implants while these just look natural.

She has some of the nicest and realistic looking elbows that I've ever seen on a figure of that scale.

Now we take a look at her detailed skirt which isn't torn but I don't think it needs to be with how skimpy it is and her position. The detailing is simple but nicely executed that it blends perfectly with the rest of figure. And you can't miss her amazing midsection. Her fit and tone body can easily be seen right there. A cross between a world class belly dancer and an Olympic athlete. You also have to love that transition from her waists to her full hips. That girl has so many curves you could get lost.

Her lovely legs, that you can see anyway were well done. The transition from flesh to material was well executed. No unsightly gaps, a nice natural transition. The detailing of the socks was a good blend of simple and complex. The same can be said for her shoes. They did a excellent job at her knees front and back.

And last but not least, you gotta love the touch they did with her thighs. It looks so realistic and darn sexy. Even though you can't see all of her rear end, you can tell she's got a butt that won't quit. The panties are of course detailed leaving little to the imagination. Again the transition from flesh to material was executed perfectly.

From head to toe, 2% and alphamax did an amazing job with both the sculpting and assembly of the figure. She looks amazing and well worth that hefty price tag. Expectations were exceeded in this battle vixen.

Painting: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

alphamax for the most part have been pretty good with the coloring of their figures when it comes to PVCs. Their cold cast figures on the other hand sometimes lack refinement. This figure isn't any different. They did a fantastic job coloring her. They employed a decent blend of tinting, decals and painting. First let's take a look at her face. As you can see the decals for the eyes look good and are applied precisely. Those glossy lips of hers are just begging to be kissed. Let's not forget the matching fingernails. Note her hair is actually purple but I didn't filter for the FL lights causing them to look blue. Due to this it's difficult to see that they used various shades of purple in her hair giving it depth and dimension. The is easier to see in her gloves.

Moving on from her gloves note her torn sailor top. Shading was used to accentuate how the material clinged to her body as well as enhanced the wrinkles and creases throughout. It's also there to simulate her sweating after such a hard battle, not bad if I do say so myself. The stripes on her uniform were hand painted and some of the looked so good you could mistake them for decals.

The tinting of her flesh was just perfect. Not too light and not to dark. So darn sexy. They also colored her breasts, specifically her nipples just right as well. I can't say it enough that they did a fantastic job on her flesh tone.

As you can see they used shading again on her loose socks enhancing the details and giving it more depth and dimension. Again, it's to simulate her perspiring as well.

I have mixed feelings about her shiny/glossy panties. I'm not sure if they're that way because she's wearing silk panties, their wet, or what? It doesn't change the fact it's a nice view. 8Þ

All in all, they did a great job. I just don't really see any issues to mention. They're really stepping up their game in regards to coloring their figures.

Posing: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

As mentioned this is supposed to be a scene from the Xtreme Xecutor series after Kan'u most difficult battle. It would have been great if they actually provided the illustration/scene so I know how faithful they were to it. I guess I'll just have to assume it was close? In any case the dynamics of the figure changed depending on the height you display her. If you display her high, her face and panties are emphasized. If you display her at eye level then it just depends on her orientation to determine that takes center stage. If you display her low, it's basically her breasts and hair that are the eye catchers. However, I don't think you can disagree that she looks great all around.

From what I can tell, this is the angle they want her displayed at. Just enough is shown of everything to make you want to see more of her. From the tilt of her head to the placement of her hands. One near her face/neck and the other fingers outstretched on her knees. They just scream seduction with their body language. The positioning of her legs where the thighs are closed but below the knees spread out giving you a view of her panties is just nosebleed inducing. The arch in her back and the way her hair draped over those steps overflowing and spilling out from under her in that vulnerable and seductive pose of hers.

All I can say is if they meant to make her seductive and vulnerable at the same time, they succeeded. She looks great and there are so many display options with her.

Base: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

I'm just going to come out and say it from the start. They did a great job on her base. It looks very realistic and detailed and is integral with the figure. With out the base I don't think the figure could be the same. As heavy as it looks it's actually hollow and vinyl, almost like a dog chew toy. She's also glued to it, which I do have mixed feelings about. For the most part I'm OK with it and think they made the right decision, but would have liked to see more of her at different angles.

If you flip over the base, you can see they used a soft cloth, I think felt to prevent the base from damaging your display surface. It also has a nice grip and shouldn't slide around.

Just take a closer look at the detailing, fantastic. No matter what angle/side examine, you see excellent detailing.

I can't say it enough that they did a great job and I wish I could give a higher score.

Enjoyment: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

So we come to the end of our journey, hopefully if you were on the fence I was able to help you decide. As an owner of numerous Kan`u figures, I would have to rank this one in the top percent. I really think they did a great job with her and she was worth the hefty price. I do not regret getting her and I can't get enough of admiring her. I think she made me fall in love with the character again. So I would say she is definitely worth considering as an addition to anyone's collection over the other Kan`u figures out there.

See you later.

Yeah, I'm starting at the top. I've been able to get the other piece in just fine since I got it. It's just the piece on her right that's been giving me trouble.

I took another look at it this morning. Apparently, the slot on her shirt isn't large enough for the peg on the shirt piece. I might just see if I can scrape at the hole with a knife later on to make the peg to fit.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Yep, I was able to install both pieces. They did not fit perfectly but they did fit. Also, are you installing the top part of hte pieces first? If you don't do that it won't fit.

But you were at least able to get her shirt pieces back on without worry of it breaking, right?

I dunno, it might just be mine. As much as I like for my figures to be sexy, I'd like for it to be a choice rather than a "take it or leave it".

Mine fits... I wouldn't say fine, that it fits...

Zukin-ManDid you have any issues with replacing the piece of her shirt covering her right breast? I can't get that thing into its slot to save my life, and I'm not brave enough to attempt jamming that brittle little thing into her shirt.
