Princess Bitch - 1/7 (Orchid Seed)Princess Bitch - 1/7 (Orchid Seed)

This article is not suitable for people under 18.
I'm over 18
Today we'll be taking a look at OrchidSeed's latest heroine, Princess Bitch, from the ero manga F.S ISM illustrated by F.S. The manga was released in 2008. This illustrator is known for his emphasis on the curves and features of a woman in his work. It's pretty obvious this is a spoof of Princess Toadstool from the Mario Brothers world. There was actually a garage kit of this figure released in limited numbers of February of 2011.

This figure was a standard release in October of 2011 and retailed for around 8200 Yen. At the time of this review this figure is still available from various stores if you wanted to pick her up. The goal today is to see if this figure is really deserving of being associated with F.S in regards the physical features of the figure.

Please understand a score of 10 will never be given as there is always room for improvement no matter how perfect a figure.

Packaging: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

OrchidSeed went with their typical tower layout with window panels situated at the front, sides and top. The front window panel as usual is the largest giving you an ample view of figure. If desired you could probably leave her in the packaging for display purposes. The side portals provide a restricted view of her and the top portal as well. The top portal is also in the shape of a mushroom which is quite fitting for the theme.

The colors chosen is also fitting as it compliments the princess nicely. The pictorials chosen also highlight the main features of the figure. At the top of the box you find the illustration lifted from the manga that this figure was based on.

Dimensions of the packaging:
H: 250 mm
W: 182 mm
D: 182 mm

OrchidSeed used a lightweight non-corrugated cardboard for the packaging as usual. However I think they probably could have gone with a cube design instead of a rectangle to keep the packaging more compact. With the re-arranging of the other items this could have been done to keep the size of the package much smaller. However the current orientation shouldn't take that much away from the overall protection of the packaging. Crush resistance is decent due to the blister design within. Weight shouldn't be an issue either.

OrchidSeed did a decent job with balancing the size, weight and protection of the packaging. I still feel they could have made it a bit smaller but shipping cost shouldn't be that much of an issue and she should definitely get to you safely.

A typical two piece blister was used to protect the figure. The figure, crown and mushroom were suspended in their own pockets. Everything was wrapped in a generous amount of plastic to protect from rubbing and paint transfer. The base was located at the bottom of the blister adding to the overall strength of the blister as it functioned as one of the walls. No tape was used to help hold the blister together so it relied solely on the contact points and cardboard to hold everything together.

OrchidSeed's packaging complimented and supported the theme of figure. The design and layout was good and you do have the option of leaving her in the box if desired for display purposes. The size, weight and protection is balanced so she should get to you safely and not break the bank doing it. Expectations were met again.

Sculpting: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

Sculpting credits go to Osiris of Heavy Guage. Osiris has worked on a number of beauties for a few manufacturers in including MegaHouse and of course OrchidSeed. Below you can see some of the lovely beauties Osiris has worked on to get an idea of what to expect. Note all of the ladies include cast off features, lovely faces and amazing physiques. With this pedigree I'm not really concerned about the overall execution of the sculpt but more or less my concern lies with the tendencies of this particular manufacturer at the assembly process.

Like most of the other OrchidSeed girls, she's 1/7 in scale. From the top of the base to the top of head, not including the crown, she's about 135 mm tall. Her head is removable but I really don't know why? Her head and hair is not in the way when you remove her overbust corset and if anything it just adds an unneeded seam at her jawline. Actually, it's probably because they originally meant for her neck to be much shorter and her head closer to her torso that would require the removal of the head. I think they should have done that as she does have a very long neck...

Her overbust corset is very easy to remove or install. It fits but I doubt you'll be able to get it to close completely to get rid of the seam. This isn't really an issue since that seam is on the side that isn't meant to be displayed. It's soft and flexible so should resist damage. In any case, the fit will probably vary between figures.

Her crown is one single piece and actually somewhat soft. I don't see you damaging it from dropping it unless on purpose. There isn't any depression in her head so it's up to you to shape the crown until it fits just right. Even then it's not guaranteed to stay on so more than likely the crown is the first thing that will go missing if you don't keep an eye on her.

And now onto the princess.

She looks pretty good, right? For the most part she is that good. There are some "issues" that I was expecting with this figure especially with her partially exposed legs. I was hoping they weren't present as the past two figures from OrchidSeed did not have these issues but unfortunately I guess my luck ran out. I will get to them soon enough.

First let's take a closer look at her lovely face. Her face seems accurate to the illustration and those big lips are killer. Her regal features are fitting for a princess from that chin to those cheeks to that nose of hers. Love the details such as her earring. That's one of the best earrings I've seen on a figure of that scale.

My only "complaint" was already mentioned in regards to her head being removable for no apparent reason.

Let's move on to her lustrous hair. The design is actually rather complex involving multiple pieces that all went together very nicely. The only real noticeable seam line is the typical one at the top of her head. Even then it was integrated fairly nicely with the hairstyle and doesn't stand out much. Her hair is very detailed and regal looking. It just looks great from all sides and seems accurate to the illustration.

It should be noted that almost every piece of her hair is very rigid and will not resist damage especially if you happen to drop her. Care should be taken around the back as there are a few parts of her hair that could get caught on something.

Looking at her hair clearance at her back and shoulders, it seems they probably could have shortened her neck providing a closer fit. I really think that's what they originally intended and that's why her head was removable. I just wish they would have done something with her crown in regards to maybe the use of magnets. They just don't use them enough and this would have been a perfect candidate.

I think the next thing is an "issue" but maybe you don't care? Do you see what's wrong in the pictures below? Hint, look at her left hand... Do you see it now? What the heck is the deal with index finger? This is why I really think they meant to mount her head closer to her torso as it looks like her finger would have touched her lips just like the illustration. For some reason they changed their mind but forgot about that index finger they extended to do it along with a few other things... But since she isn't touching her lips with that extra long finger, that extra length is very noticeable. I don't know about you but it looks like she doesn't need any prince since she can take care of business with that finger herself...

While we're looking at her chest area, if you can ignore that monstrous finger of hers... note her lovely shoulders and well defined collarbones. They look splendid as well as the transition to her neck even if I think it's a little too long... Also, she has a very nice cleavage. One of the better ones and it's to be expected considering all of the lovely and big busted ladies Osiris has worked on.

And since this is Osiris, her breasts are large and detailed. Note the details at her nipples and lovely shape of those pendulous breasts. Also, her underboobs do not have ugly scars that you see on some figures. While we're looking, look at her well defined abs. She just has an amazing physique like the previous girls Osiris has worked on.

The pairing of F.S and Osiris was a match made in heaven. Just look at the lovely body lines and curves Osiris sculpted into this beauty. The execution was sublime harkens back to a time the classic lines and curves of a feminine body. I'd say this figure does justice to F.S emphasis on those lovely curves and features that make a woman a woman.

Just look at those lines on her lovely back and how it transitions to her hips. Her obliques are well defined and the curves at her hips to her thighs is to die for. Her body is a work of art with those lovely lines running through out. There is so much going on I bet you don't even notice the excess material on her side that wasn't removed completely. I don't think you can see it clearly in the pictures but it's there. However, I'm sure results will vary between figures and it isn't too distracting.

So I've been going on and on but haven't gotten to the "issues" I mentioned. Well, here you go. Look at the pictures below, do you see the gaps? Now I'm not saying OrchidSeed is the only manufacture that has this issue. But whenever I see one of their girls, if they're pelvic area is exposed I pretty much expect to see those gaps. Results will vary but I can probably show you half of my OrchidSeed girls with gaps like these in their pelvic area. I really thought they took care of this with their last two figures but I guess I was wrong. And the girl released after her... similar issues... *sigh*. Maybe you don't care but for how much she cost I expected better quality control.

While we're down here, as detailed as the rest of her outfit looks down there such as her garter belt, if you note her vulva doesn't seem to match up with the illustration. Aside from that missing detail, the details present look great. From the curves and outlines showing through the materials to that butt of hers that just won't quit. Excluding the gaps, the transition from her flesh to the material was handled fairly competently especially at the straps going from her garter belt to her stockings.

Her legs are curvy and the transition from her waist to her hips to her thighs moved at break neck speed. As mentioned, the garter belt looks great and her stockings and those heels just gives me a little tingle. Her curves and lines just look fantastic. The details are there and nothing appears lacking.

Osiris and OrchidSeed did a very nice job excluding the issues I mentioned. Results may vary between figures concerning those gaps, but I'm pretty sure she's going to have a that huge finger no matter which figure you get. However this figure shouldn't have any issues living up to F.S' standards. Expectations mostly met.

Painting: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

OrchidSeed usually does a good job coloring their girls using all the tools available. This figure isn't any different and their execution of her flesh tone easily rivals native. However, a picture can say a thousand words so I think I'll let the pictures do the talking. Look at the pictures below for comparison.

As you can see as nice as her hair looks in the sculpt department, it's rather flat compared to the illustration. Even though her flesh looks great, she is lacking key highlights and accents such as at her shoulder, and legs. You can see they were trying to emulate the shadows in the stockings but they came up short. Now this could vary between figures and maybe others look more close to the illustration? The biggest thing for me is her vulva and labia... No details at all compared to the illustration.

I thought they did a nice job on her face. The eyes look great and were placed precisely. I love the job they did on those luscious lips of hers. And of course she's blushing, every once in a while they'll still not carry over the blush from the prototype for whatever reason. Also, they did a lovely job on her breasts especially her nipples. Even though her rear end doesn't match up with the illustration, they still did a nice job. Note the shading and accents that accentuate those curves and aides with the transition. At the same time, someone had a little problem painting a straight line as you can see. Results will vary and I think that was the only stray brush stroke which is pretty good.

OrchidSeed did a nice job coloring the figure but I do wish they didn't leave out certain details on the figure such as her hair and her vulva. Her flesh looked great with both the tinting and airbrushing done on it. It looked so warm and alive. Especially liked the job they did on her face. I understand they based the figure on the illustration so there will be differences but I just don't see why they couldn't have made her resemble the illustration more. In any case, expectations mostly met.

Posing: 8/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡♡

Well, again the easiest way is to look at the illustration and the actual figure shown below. As you can see they are close but there are differences. As mentioned several times, it looks like they were trying to have her finger touch her lips. But for whatever reason they changed their mind and lengthened her neck. I don't see why as her hair would have had enough clearance for her torso and corset. Then of course the other big difference is the mushroom isn't nibbling on her vulva anymore let alone the detailing in that area is lacking.

Both things could have easily been implemented, I really don't know why they decided to change it? Maybe the nibbling thing I can understand if they wanted to get more customers but the thing with touching her lips? I don't get it. I just don't see any structural issue with why they didn't implement it. Everything was there to do it, they just had to remove a few millimeters from her neck. I just don't get it.

Also, straddling/riding an object isn't exactly new. It's used a lot in various figures and is quite sexy. This isn't any different and even with what you get she is a sexy figure with a sexy pose. Display options are somewhat limited as her pose is really meant for her to be viewed from right and back right profile. She is best displayed at eye level but above or below also works but emphasizes different body lines and features of her.

The figure and pose still look nice but the dynamics of it just changed with those two things left out...Expectations were not really met based on what was shown in the illustration and what you got. They still did a nice job though.

Base: 8/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡♡

Her base consists of two pieces, the base of course and the mushroom man. The base measures 160 mm wide and is about half a millimeter tall. It is adorned with the name of the figure as well as her origins. For a better idea of how big the base really is I put a CD under it so you can get a better idea of the scale.

The mounting pegs are not identical as one is actually slightly larger forcing you to mount the mushroom man in one orientation. This is on purpose to make sure you display her just like the illustration.

The base could be considered optional if you are pressed for space when trying to display her. But I'd say you're better off using the base as she is much easier to move around with it. However, if you don't plan on moving her once displayed the the base is indeed optional. If you can't decide, the mounting pegs seem sturdy enough that they should last until you can decide if you want to use the base or not.

The base gets the job done and it definitely support the theme of the figure. It's stable and sturdy and also transparent allowing for more latitude on display surfaces. Not really sure there would have been much more they could have done to make the base better.

Enjoyment: 9/10 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♡

The question posed at the beginning on whether this figure was representative of the art style of F.S? I'd say she is even if they did change two things in regards to touching her lips and the mushroom nibbling on her. The overall execution was very good from the sculpting and painting. Let's not forget those lovely body lines and curves. I just can't get enough of them. Do I regret getting her? No I don't and I think she was worth what I paid. She's a great looking figure in a sexy pose that will fit in nicely with my other OrchidSeed girls. Keep them coming OrchidSeed!

See you later.

a very nice review, mine just arrived today.
Well, I feel a bit uncomfortable with the mushroom,
but I couldn't resist to get this lovely figure ^^

The finger issue is the biggest flaw of her,
too bad OS did nothing about that before release.

chobittsuIf you are skilled enough you could shorten the neck yourself; perhaps that dual-width peg on top of the neck is the cause of the problem...

At least for mine it looks like you would need to shorten everything, not just the tip.

Also, what figure is that with the starred blue thigh-highs?
