I've been buying stuff online for almost 15 years, and this is the first time something like this happens to me.
Weeks ago, I purchased this lovely Mami prize figure ITEM #96914 at Mandarake Fukuoka. I paid (using registered SAL as almost always), they sent me the tracking number...everything was fine, until I decided to check how my package was doing. And it appeared as delivered on October 31. What? I never received anything, and there wasn't any notification in my mailbox either.
Today I went to my post office to ask about it, and it was really frustrating. They told me it already had been delivered, and that I should talk with the chief of my post office, but he wasn't there at the moment.
When I was going back home I met my local postman, and he told me there was some fuss today on the post office, because apparently some package got misdelivered to another part of my country. I can't stop thinking they were talking about mine. It's a small town, people don't receive a lot of packages from Japan here...
I'm heartbroken. It's not a really expensive figure, she costed me 2500 JPY + shipping costs. But if someone received her already it's unlikely they'll give it back, isn't it?
Is there something I can do? I'm really bummed, and from now on I'm going to feel very worried about all the packages I have incoming :(

And go with xcupidxstuntx's advise. That's the best you can do. Good luck and I hope you get your package! :)
Once, among some other like 10 boxes, they mixed up 1 HLJ box for some "Agustin" (my name is Agustina) and it had some Car model kit inside
It looked pretty cool, but it wasn't mine, so I walked like 10 blocks to give it to the guy who ordered it (the address was there and it was close by).
Maybe you'll have the same luck :)
At least they do when I get them at my home. there is no way I am leaving boxes at my front door step in the snow. When I go to the post office I need to show ID and sign for it. So would it not be the same who ever signed for the box could give them a clue who got the box.
And if you want to file a claim then you can say that your signiture is not the same as the person that signed for the figurine.
= )

Thanks, I'll do!
