A recent proxy loot!A recent proxy loot!

MaakieMaakie3 years agoLoot
It's not that often that I get a big order, so I thought, why not make a blog about it! This loot is a combination of multiple auctions I won at Yahoo! Japan and shipped altogether! Before I start, I would like to "warn" that most of the franchises I like are very old, so most of these items are old and/or low quality and pretty sure not too much people's liking, haha!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Qu5RsOP2qrw/VMQa9Lu1y9I/AAAAAAAAC1I/MiixEvc2JUo/s1152/IMG_3519.JPG

A huge box! Exciting! And inside I found...

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-afLkRJBXKtM/VMQa896btjI/AAAAAAAAC1E/vIryJ-sudQY/s912/IMG_3520.JPG

...multiple boxes...okay. This explains the high shipping cost. I guess my proxy wasn't in the mood anymore for further repacking. Oh well, I'm switching from proxy to proxy anyways and haven't found one yet I plan on sticking to. And I guess that even though this makes the shipping costs higher, it also means the items will be more safe (?).

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-e-3JjZJqgrg/VMQa8UhVkVI/AAAAAAAAC08/-Bao4rPI9NM/s912/IMG_3521.JPG

I was most curious to what was inside the biggest box in the box, so I opened that one up first!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-KF2XZioqynw/VMQa-NOS19I/AAAAAAAAC1Q/OhSDIARygKM/s720/IMG_3522.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Oe_JySB7STw/VMQa_wHveGI/AAAAAAAAC1c/fXLnybISmTs/s720/IMG_3523.JPG

And here we have Chi-Chi ITEM #129518 ! She's the reason this order started, because I wanted to own this figure from her asap as reference for a cosplay I'm making from her! She sometimes turns up on Mandarake and other second hand sites, but with multiple up for good price on Yahoo! Auctions back then, I thought "Oh well, there is more I wanted to bid on anyways!" View spoilerHide spoilerAnd this flow of thoughts is also the reason why I mostly try to avoid looking at Yahoo! Auctions too much! xD

Anyway, time to open up!

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-IVzrYp1NsKQ/VMQbAiRhGpI/AAAAAAAAC10/3y6OFhwN69Y/s912/IMG_3525.JPG

Oh. This type of box. Although it's quite a safe way to transport a figure when it's new, I'm afraid of how safe I can move her when I have to repack her once again.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-IEQNtbCma30/VMQa_-901YI/AAAAAAAAC1g/N9l4VwTZNJ0/s912/IMG_3524.JPG

She's very small, but her details look very good for a prize figure!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Nlvr5sGRUZ4/VMQbBwgVl3I/AAAAAAAAC1w/o7TiLdwWadg/s720/IMG_3526.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MApJ3j_1L3k/VMQbCdjlK_I/AAAAAAAAC14/q_vQOPPXeD0/s720/IMG_3527.JPG

Next up was a figure from Rosette from Chrono/Chrno Crusade ITEM #11154 ! As a huge fan from the series and not much being made from it, this figure was on my wishlist for a long long time. No one else made a bid on this listing and if I remember correctly I won her for around 900 yen. To be honest I feel a bit bad about getting such a rare and old figure for cheap!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-v0BkMXiq2EY/VMQbDOeQEzI/AAAAAAAAC2A/JRr_SQ-I_KI/s720/IMG_3528.JPG

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-IbEb79sAnA8/VMQbEVibNEI/AAAAAAAAC2I/TwtnUoN3AS4/s720/IMG_3529.JPG

And another Rosette ITEM #11155 , which means I only have ITEM #11156 left to collect from this set! With this Rosette the bidding went on a lot higher. As far as I know this one isn't more rare, so my guess is that it happened because this one had a way better condition box!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SawcR5OcOw0/VMQbE-WPiDI/AAAAAAAAC2U/_8eWphpRCI8/s720/IMG_3530.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pPsKXh7JH0o/VPW082VOt6I/AAAAAAAADGQ/kR3NQsptMwA/s912/IMG_3531.JPG

Next up was this huge bag! Inside the bag was the full Mecha Musume Vol. 1 ENCYCLOPEDIA #25242 set with flattened boxes, including all the secrets! I already owned a few of these seperately so I'll have to dig them out from my stored figures to see which ones those are. View spoilerHide spoilerI have barely display space for my figures in my current appartment, so now the condition of my collection is:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1978201/IMG_3499.JPG

Yeah, just even try to find something in there...especially small trading figures...
.

The next thing in my package surprised me!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Oyz1m7Uk3h4/VMQbFqPe-7I/AAAAAAAAC2Y/7Sxk5JdVjgk/s1440/IMG_3532.JPG

I knew what I was getting, but as the auction didn't list it, I didn't expect the figures to come with the original sales/distrubution box!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ImrNYpx2UDA/VMQbGSv92dI/AAAAAAAAC2g/cgFAwSBoBQs/s720/IMG_3533.JPG

Inside were all the figures including the secrets from the Mecha Musume Figumate set ENCYCLOPEDIA #25240 !

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-mMVtX_RE9dY/VMQbHO4yxsI/AAAAAAAAC2o/-9gh5JAEeWM/s800/IMG_3534.JPG

I opened and checked all of them to be sure it was complete. All of them were in original factory seal and only with the top of the boxes opened to check which one was inside. Figumate's style may not be completely to my liking, but they are quite cute chibi's!

Next up, was something completely different!

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-x7Zu0v3yDoI/VMQbIBcvAZI/AAAAAAAAC2w/CzCmLW48_oY/s912/IMG_3535.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_QhmNwd2ji4/VMQbI9vDSBI/AAAAAAAAC28/aZGkyKlQhrs/s800/IMG_3536.JPG

Ta-dah! It's ITEM #44914 ! It's the story of Little Red Riding Hood illustrated by POP ENCYCLOPEDIA #8335 , one of my favorite artists!

Ever since I saw seperate pictures and loosely scanned pages from the books of POP Wonderland ENCYCLOPEDIA #67729 , I knew I wanted them! All of these books also have English translations which can be found for good prices, but I was personally hunting after the original Japanese ones. These are on the western aftermarket incredibly expensive (I've seen them ranging from $50-100 excluding shipping), so I was glad to grab a cheap one on Yahoo!

And while I was busy with POP wonderland anyways, I decided to pick up some other related goods!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-cpVsoouM9Cw/VMQbJXnf4pI/AAAAAAAAC3A/ZwEmJk8Bwvc/s1440/IMG_3537.JPG

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-VSMNUagstEY/VMQbK-39ChI/AAAAAAAAC3I/5dojgcxPQDk/s912/IMG_3538.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-jxpeVKg_Ni4/VMQbL8KI00I/AAAAAAAAC3Q/EYKRRd7zyzM/s912/IMG_3539.JPG

The complete set from POP Wonderland Little Red Riding Hood ENCYCLOPEDIA #25822 ! All of them were opened/displayed and afterwards rebagged again. Currently it's a big mess of parts, haha!

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5R1k8ufzmew/VMQbMVxW6eI/AAAAAAAAC3c/JX6w4_k2W5E/s1440/IMG_3540.JPG

Aaaaaaaaand also the complete set of POP Wonderland Thumbelina ENCYCLOPEDIA #25821 !

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3zN4J2TpH7g/VMQbNE7qdxI/AAAAAAAAC3g/kdAj1z2pPUY/s1280/IMG_3541.JPG

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-P08ijESoNqI/VMQbN4SWchI/AAAAAAAAC3o/H20lpp7OSQc/s1152/IMG_3542.JPG

The bagged parts here look even more like a mess. xD View spoilerHide spoilerWhich is why that and in combination with my limited display space, I kept them packed. :P

Overall I'm really happy with these POP wonderland sets as I think the designs are very original. As shown here in the top right corner: PICTURE #27904 they can be arranged to form the picture book they were based on! In general this is something I love about gashapon and trading figures, you see a lot of characters and designs you wouldn't normally see with scaleds! I keep telling myself that I should stop buying all these smaller figures, but I just love them too much!

Everything together!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-QT-TASbiw7I/VMQbPC8c4DI/AAAAAAAAC30/l4VhrvUohM8/s800/IMG_3543.JPG

Thrown on one big pile, this completes my loot! Because of my lack of space, what it mainly meant for me was that this list LIST #32620 grew more and more! :P

Overall I'm very happy with this loot, I managed to get multiple items that are really hard to find and/or expensive for reasonable prices! The only downside is that I just seem to can't find a proxy to my liking, I guess I'll have to make Japanese friends to help me out. Q.Q

My next blog can take a while to write up View spoilerHide spoilerI'm personally very busy with my lectures, conventions I visit and I'm doing a lot of overtime at work. A few months ago I went on holiday to New York and one day did a small trip around multiple interesting stores (including anime stores), of which I will write a summary to tell you guys what's interesting to check out there! I hope you guys are looking forward to it! :)

Arun (3 months ago) #35912423Sounds nice, can You post which figures are for sale?

No problem! Here are the doubles I have left that are completely new and sealed with box:
ITEM #7247
ITEM #7246
ITEM #7244
ITEM #7243

I also have some from other sets, but those are without box or have been displayed (a few of them also missing base, but still possible to stand by themselves), so I don't know if you would be interested in those. If yes, I can check for you which ones they are and their specific condition, but for sure I know I have ITEM #7242 and ITEM #9231 like that.

Cool! Don't worry, you can work on it later. Just focus on your work 1st.
Thank you, Maakie-san! Yes, she will get a review from me. :D

Maakie (3 years ago) #2795071Thank you! I'm very happy with all my purchases!
Looking at all the votes, I think Chi-Chi will be one of the first to get photographed for a review, but with how busy I am, it can take a while, though! I still have lots of other blogs I want to make and pictures saved on my computer!
Congrats on your new Figma purchase! Will she get a review from you? :)

VioFitz (3 years ago) #2791806Wow! That's another nice loot there, Maakie-san! I like that anime-ish little red riding hood picture. But, to prefer review... I think I choose Chichi, because I'm curious how she works for the display.
Anyway, I recently bought my Figma Hibiki Ganaha here. Can't help it, I want her so badly in the end.
