After posting a picture of Yuki I was asked to do a blog entry for it so here you go. Here is how I let Yuki use a current nendroid stand using Sawako this time.

I used a power drill for this though you can probably just do it by hand if you have the tool. The size of the two bits I used are 1/16 to drill the first hole and 1/8 for the final hole.

You can get an idea where you want to put the hole holding them up to the stand you'll be using. Some figures have a nice line on their clothing sometimes which makes this nice if you wanna get in the center.

First using the 1/16 bit drill your first hole. If your using a power drill like I did just go slow I just give the button a push rather then just holding it down and then when it's as deep as I want pull it back out still pushing the button a couple times to make a clean hole.

Next just drill it again with the 1/8 and your done you have a nice stand for your older nendoroid :) Hope this was able to help it's my first time doing something like this.

Thanks for this, now I know it's safe to attempt to do this!
The ones I have on old bases have been driving me nuts because they tend to fall over on their own all the time :(

I also want GSC to update their base in future also

I've been debating doing this with my Neuro Nogami Nendoroids but just cant bring myself to because $100 Nendo.

I'm also paranoid GSC is just going to update their bases again in the future, haha.

StephieHerbert5 years ago#2859367Awesome, now I just need some extra nendo stands. I have a couple hat would definitely benefit from this.

Yeah I have one spare from Titania Asuna. I might see who else I have that sits or something. :)

diamondburst195 years ago#2859374The drill will impart a circular hole. However, the nendoroid stand pegs are hexagonal. Will it still fit? I want to say yes because the hexagonal peg can fit in the hole by friction.
Yep the stand fits fine using the 1/8 drill piece. It's a nice snug fit that doesn't pop out of the figure :) Almost fits better then some of my figures sometimes lol

Ya that's really what it comes down to. I somehow has a couple to spare since I usually have a couple figures sitting and Hakase doesn't even need a stand so that helped too.
