I'm over 18
Hi everyone,

I wanted to take pictures today and needed to remove sora from the detolf for that. So i had her in my hands seeing some wierd pink spots on her thighhighs... wtf i did not put her in anything pink when photographing nor did i touch anything pink..

But then the worsed is a FREAKING RED NOSE. DOES SHE HAVE A COLD!?!?! apperently.. well i joke about it, but i annoys me so much. how could this happen?? i already tried the eraser but it does not work. i wil try some alcohol tomorrow since i need to buy that. acetone is my last option since i rather see her with a freaking red nose then not having a nose at all.... T_T

here you see what i mean.. if you have any tips suggestions or anything else please comment.

Oh, man.

Bloempje4 years ago#3909860Oh my god green?! that is even worse. >_< i will try the dishwash soap too. Maybe it helps. It would already help if the red comes less bright. it is so disturbing!!!!

Be careful when washing your fig! And be extra careful when scrubbing the pink part. As much as possible just use your hands in scrubbing or if you have a sponge, make sure that the sponge won't scratch your fig or anything like that.

Btw, after doing research, it seems like it's what they called... Paint transfer. It's not probably a weather issue because mine was well kept in a dry and not direct sunlight place in my room. Though I'm not sure how the transferring of the paint to figure works but I was thinking maybe it's also because of the materials used in creating the fig and when I exposed my figure to something I used when I photograph them. Anyway, I saw a solution but I haven't tried it yet... Maybe you're interested or maybe it can help you. You'll need paint thinner and Q-tip. Do this in a ventilated room to prevent inhaling the smell of the paint thinner. Then gently rub the q-tip to the affected area only and clean it with a tissue, after. Tell me if it works, I have to try this soon too. I just need to find some free time. ^_^

honestly .... I kind of like the red nose. It's adorable O.O

The most annoying thing is that you don't know from what it is. So let's say that you get it back the way it was, it might go back being red a few weeks later.

Nosebleed edition...

Seriously, is it exposed to too much sun?
(I read from sun damage before).

Mine is displayed in a similar way. Luckily no transfers so far.

I don't know how many figures you last had on display on that shelf. But this shows you need to reduce that number by one to prevent contact transfer of paint. Don't let this lesson go to waste.
As for the color transfer you can also try to repaint it or perhaps tab it slightly with diluted paint thinner (washing benzine) using a cotton swab. (Is less aggresive than acetone. I've seen so many plastics dissolve away under acetone and I would never put that anywhere near my figures).
