September/October loot and De-boxingSeptember/October loot and De-boxing

hare75hare753 years agoLoot
Hiya everyone~~
'tis an unholy day indeed
because I...
HAVE FOLDED ALL MY FIGURE BOXES T_T
*Most of them, anyways*
And I threw out all the plastic stuff inside them, which doesn't REALLY matter (unless you plan on selling the figure later, or value the shape of your figure imprinted onto the plastic). Seriously though, there is barely any space in my house, and even if I kept the boxes stacked outside my wardrobe/cupboards,they would've gotten dusty instantly - even putting stuff in my wardrobe doesn't protect stuff from dust. THIS HOUSE IS A GODDAMN DUST MACHINE!!!!

Anyways, lemme shut up about my horrid dusty house and share with you my past two monthly loots - I only got a chance to write this up now since I was busy with assignments/tests for the past few weeks I'm actually supposed to be studying for exams but

Ah, before we get to that, I'll just quickly show you what my shelf/cupboard looks like right now, so I can do a comparison later.

Yes, I glad-wrapped it so the dust wouldn't get in - best solution until I get a detolf or glass cabinet.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445911804.png

You can see the Shana prize figure I got last month, with a DB action figure I got ages ago when I was a kid.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445911806.png

There's the Mio nendoroid I got at the same time as Shana - her bass keeps falling!!.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445911810.png

Bottom shelf, mostly scales and nendoroids.

closeup of Azusa and OnoD keychains.

And here are all my boxes hidden everywhere

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913139.png

So sorry about the quality of the images - I have a wobbly hand and quite a bashed phone - that is not a good combination.

Now for the September loot - it actually came early this month, since one of the items was not due to be released until the 30th, and I took my time paying for it.

Firstly is the Shana figure (I'll just show you the boxes)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445909375.png

I know it's only a prize figure, but I really like the box for some reason. It's one of the ones I didn't fold.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445909377.png

Next is the Durarara Color Colle mini figures

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445909379.png

I haven't even opened this one yet. It comes with eight characters: Celty, Izaya, Shizuo, Mikado, Kida, Anri, Shinra and Kadota

Next is the Akiyama Mio nendoroid

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445909373.png

Kokkuri-san pinched strap - too cute to resist!!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445909371.png

I also got a Reiji clear file~~~~~ I should get more clear files next time. Too bad the natural ver. is sold out on Amiami

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445911291.png

Lastly for September is the Uta no Prince-sama All Star After Secret fan-book

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445911293.png

I've had a peek, and there's a lot of game CGs, but its got seiyuu interviews too!!

Now onto October. I was supposed to get a package from CDJapan this week too, but I have no idea when It will come. It should contain Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu (vol 8), Natsume Kyousuke no Ogiri Mission and Spoon.2Di (vol 2).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913143.png

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913145.png

I got 2 boxes - one from Amiami and the other from HLJ.
First is the HLJ box.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913147.png

Waaaaahhh~~~~~~~ The long awaited Pandora Hearts artbook by Mochizuki Jun-Sensei, along with the Gakuen K Color Colle mini figures.

And -

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913941.png

Noiji Itou Artworks - Shana!!
I am SO sorry about the blurry LQ images!!!!

You would think that the books would get damaged, knowing how HLJ packs boxes. I was quite worried about how the books would turn out after receiving a few scratched/dented figure boxes from them, but surprisingly the books are in PERFECT condition this time. Thanks HLJ!!

Next is the Amiami box:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913943.png

I was kinda hoping it would have a Halloween design (since I already have this card).

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913945.png

As usual, Amiami has over-the top packaging, pretty much guaranteed to keep all your figures safe. However...

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913947.png

Now really. A huge spacious box for JUST TWO FIGURES is pushing it - even if it means less padding inside,I would just rather have cheaper shipping with a smaller box.

Let's take a closer look:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445913949.png

Nendoroid Kud (the one with the optional dog ears) and a prize figure of Nishizono Mio~~
Finally I have Little Busters figures!!! Kyousuke is still my favourite though, but he doesn't have a figure.

And here are the boxes the right way up - along with a Nagato Yuki strap I got in the same order.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914374.png

And here's a (blurry) close up of the strap:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914376.png

And an EVEN closer look at Kud's box (I couldn't do Mio's because it was too deep inside the box = too dark)

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914378.png

During the whole de-boxing, I realised that Mio didn't have a pole for her umbrella, but I found it on the floor a few hours later

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914380.png

I swear it looks more like a wand...

Last of all, I'll quickly mention the de-boxing I did. Pretty much, I took out all the figures/parts from their boxes, wrapped them in some plastic and put them all in the HLJ box I got today. I threw out all the plastic blisters that originally came with the figures, and folded + taped the boxes to the best of my ability, in order to save space in my room.
This is what all the folded boxes looked like afterwards:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914828.png

If you ever plan on folding your boxes (because you really want to keep them but have no space), you need to know that it is highly likely that you will end up damaging your boxes due to fold marks and tape stains. Fold at your own risk!!

Since I had no other choice but to put all the boxes back in my wardrobe, they needed some kind of protection.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914830.png

Amiami packaging did the trick :)
Look at all that plastic strewn across my room!!!

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914832.png

I mean, it's clear, so it could be hard to see ^^;

And now my figures cupboard looks like this

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914834.png

You can kinda see the HLJ box I stored the figures in. Of course, I couldn't throw away ALL the boxes and kept some of the smaller ones and unique looking ones.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/image/hare751445914836.png

Well, that's all for today. Hopefully I get that CDJapan order soon - knowing the postal system here, it's probably stuck in customs.

hare75 (3 years ago) #4270896Hahaha yeah, I've got several pre-orders myself, so I'll probably have to find a bigger box for my figures, and that will be a problem because my figure cupboard is pretty much full ... again ^^;;;;;
Damn, I was thinking of tagging my figures, but I completely forgot in the rush of it all. I guess I don't have that many (yet), so it won't be hard to forget which parts belong to which figure. Still a brilliant idea though :)

It's really useful because I do have prize figures and cu-poche that come with additional parts. So I for example tag them as 'Kuroneko - Nendoroid' 'Kuroneko - Cu-poche' so I know if I want to swap out accessories or face plates at any time I won't have to open both of my Kuroneko bundles to get to what is relevant :3

So, apparently some wanker mod has deleted the close-up pics I had for the Akiyama Mio and Kud nendo boxes (WITHOUT alerting me), but they still appear here for some reason. Ah well, there's already plenty of pics of those two boxes floating around, so I wont bother re-uploading them.

sarahjayne (3 years ago) #4247342Nice haul. I've done the same with most of my Nendoroid boxes and all my figma boxes, I just didn't have the space to hold them anymore. I still kept my scale figure boxes but I don't have as many of those.
Thanks~~ I found that a lot of my (huge) scale figure boxes were taking a lot of space, so they had to be compressed. I didn't do anything for my Yotsuba and Danbo boxes though - they have so many parts (particularly Yotsuba), and the boxes look nice!! All my nendoroid boxes needed to be folded though :(

YukariShinohara (3 years ago) #4247299To be honest with you I've done the same unless a particular figure comes with a lot of accessories I've broken down the boxes and thrown out the blisters. I don't have the space in my flat (they all used to live in my wardrobe) and with pre-orders over the next few months, keeping the boxes as they are isn't realistic! All of the accessories I have tagged, put in zip-lock bags and bubble wrap and stored in plastic/useful boxes to keep them awesome and away from dust :3

AnAbleAngel (3 years ago) #4247025Nice to see the rest of your display :O
RIP boxes. I guess it needs to be done when you don't have space!
I should really pick up a nendo of one of my favourite characters, but I keep putting it off!

*gross sobbing* I know!! Well, it's the figures that count the most I guess - and the boxes are still kinda there...just folded flat.
Oooh be careful with nendos though - try not to get one that's too old, since they fall apart so easily and their stands are useless! The more recent ones have better stands, but they all have a hole in their back for it (it's not THAT noticeable though, especially if the character has long hair).
