Excitement to disappointment in seconds (ugghh)Excitement to disappointment in seconds (ugghh)

I just can't believe it.

I ordered Kaneki from AmiAmi using sal reg. I never had any kind of trouble with it.
I received Kaneki yesterday, and today I decided to open him.
I was very excited but the moment I opened the box I realized something. HE IS BROKEN. HIS KAGUNE WAS BROKEN.
I seriously don't know what to do. Of course I emailed AmiAmi about it, still waiting for an answer but I doubt they can actually help me, I don't believe they'd bother to send me a replacement or refund me, though.

I'm so pissed off.

I'll go buy a glue and try to fix this. but that sort of thing totally damages the figure's value after all ugh..

EDIT: just noticed that a lot of people faced this problem, are they really THAT FRAGILE? Apparently it's the manufacturer's fault, not AmiAmi's. I wonder what they're going to do with all these broken figures.

KuroUchiha (2 years ago) #5599146Wait, what? they didn't say anything about sending the item back, oh my god I don't want to take any risks and end up without any figure at all

That's what amiami told me, before they can do anything you'll need to return the item.
Of course you get to choose before sending it back for a refund or a replacement.
Problem is that the replacement might have similar issues. However since it's a ... what's it called again ... chara deform? I doubt the issue you have happens all to much. With scale figures there can be many issues but with smaller figs especially figs like this one there are only a few things that could really go wrong.

Kosura (2 years ago) #5594477if they would sent a replacement or refund you, you'll have to return the item, they will pay back the shipping costs for it.
However when you're dealing with custom fees and such and want a refund they won't be able to refund the custom fees or anything. Which eventually leaves you with no figure (not even a broken one) and thrown out money >.>
So I'm now stuck with a crappy Tell your world miku cuz gsc's replacement was even worse than what I initially got and they say that it was their 'best' one they had. Which makes me curious to how their worst one looks.
And for amiami to offer a refund or replacement I have to sent the item back, in case of a replacement they can't reassure it'll be better than what I had and for a refund I still paid like 40 bucks custom fees on top of it all which I won't get back >.>

nanodayo (2 years ago) #5563602You should email the manufacturer and not amiami, of course it isn't their fault because they didn't make it, they're just selling the stuff the manufacturer sent them. Try to email them in english and add pictures (that would help them to see the problem). You can say something like "Hello, I bought your Kaneki Ken - Chara Forme on amiami but it appears to be broken. I already emailed amiami about it and they told me to contact you. Could you please send me a replacement? or tell me what to do about this situation."
The same problem happened to some people here but with nendoroids and they just emailed GSC about it and they sent them replacements without any charge. Hope this helps!
LovelyIdiot (2 years ago) #5563541Yeah, there's nothing else you can tell. People had leaning problems with their chara-forme Chrom and they replaced the broken ones.

So I contacted emtpy and they said they're sorry for the defective figure and they'd like to send me a replacement. I just hope the replacement won't come broken too. Thank you so much for your help!

I actually really dislike this company/line, their Chrom had a bad leaning problem and it soured me ever since. It seems like their shoddy quality has continued for Kaneki, which is a shame since I love Tokyo Ghoul.

I still hope GSC will release nendoroids (or figures) for it one day.

KuroUchiha (2 years ago) #5563524What should I tell them? "I ordered from AmiAmi and got a broken product"?

LovelyIdiot (2 years ago) #5563360Via their contact us form: www.empty.co.jp...
First line asks for your name, second asks for your email address, third is the subject/topic (so you say something like defective/broken product) and fourth line is where you write about your situation in a paragraph. They can handle English, though not fluently but its still easily understandable.

detectivelawliet (2 years ago) #5563083Unfortunately, this has happened to a lot of people. It's a shame because it really is a wonderful figure. I wanted to order one, (especially since Kaneki is one of my favorite characters) but with so many breaking, decided not to..:/ I'm sorry this happened to you. Really disappointing
It really is a great figure, it's a shame empty released so many broken figures. It ruins their name.
A lot of people won't order their charaforme figures anymore.

LovelyIdiot (2 years ago) #5563119You'd be better off emailing empty (the manufacturer) for a replacement, they can send you one free of charge.
Really? how can I contact them?
NerdyBirdyx (2 years ago) #5563172I'm sorry about the broken figure. :( I actually kinda wanted this figure but now I don't think I should get it considering a lot of people get theirs broken. :/

It can be fixed with glue I think, but I don't want a damaged figure :c
