Not the first time he mentioned it, but the latest:

And man, I'm a sucker for Figma accessories, so I blame him.

The dollhouse is an OG (Our Generation) Lori 6 inch dollhouse from Target.

www.target.com/...

Dimensions (as listed on the site): 18.500 inchesH x 20.000 inchesW x 12.000 inchesD

It doesn't come in a box, just a few cardboard tags or whatnot:

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2016/08/14/1599786.jpeg

It does come with kitchen furniture that has been attached to the house with plastic so it doesn't fall out or get stolen. It's a bit of a pain to remove, but it doesn't leave any marks on anything.

The Kitchen furniture consists of a fridge (that opens with shelves built in), a bar with stools, and an L shape counter space with tile back splash (the cabinets and oven do open and close). The L shape counter features a sink, oven, and stove top.

All the furniture is made of plastic, but it still looks pretty nice. Originally I had thought I might just put the kitchen set I already have in there, but I really kinda like the bar stool set up. Here's my other kitchen set from ebay:

Another nice thing about the Lori set is that you can do some rearranging.
(You could even put the kitchen upstairs or have no kitchen at all)

The scale is really perfect. I mean it's not a huge house when you look at the scale, but the fit is quite nice.

http://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2016/08/14/1599793.jpeg

Also you can see that it does have a set of lights which do work. I have mixed feelings about the lights. It's a cool feature, but I'm not crazy about the ugly yellow plastic and it doesn't give off quite enough light.

In the dark with the lights on:

The outside of the house also looks pretty cool. I really like the big window by the stairs and they used different types of design on the outside.

The same brand also sells other furniture sets and accessories packs (see the spoiler below for some samples. I didn't get any because I already have quite a lot of furniture and accessories.

All the recommended furniture and dolls

Pretty reasonable prices. Most packs are $12 to $15. The car is $25. I'm not too sure about the trailer and camper.

Here are some pictures of me decking it out in furniture I have and loading it up with some figmas:

At one point, I decided to turn my house into a mob zone or something, with a weapon shop on the ground floor and a poker game going on upstairs and lots of armed school kids.. Halfway through set up, I decided to go back to furniture in the house and set up my Little Armory somewhere else.

Living Room set:

Desk set:

(Also the Bunk Bed does come apart)

The weights came from those 6 inch wrestlers

Also, the size isn't so good for Nendos.

Overall, I give the house a 8/10 when considering that the price was less than most figma cost right now.

Pros:
Size
Cost
Design
Love the stairs

Cons:
Plastic furniture (but costs...)
Front door doesn't stay closed
If you open one fridge door, they both open
Not a big fan of the lights

I really recommend it for Figma fans. Sadly it's a Target exclusive so US buyers can it get it for $50 or less, but it costs around $100 to ship internationally according to a friend from outside the US.

Somewhere down the line I want to own a HUGE dollhouse for my figma, but I just don't have the space. This one is pretty decent on space saving and functionality.

For Nendo options, see spoiler below:

I don't collect Nendos so these pictures are not mine (found them on a google search).

I usually blame ZoidsFanatic for various things too. It's just more convenient than saying it's my fault.

Also, NEEEEEEEEEEED!!!!!! O3O

As soon as I saw "I blame Zoidsfanatic" it was a must read regardless of subject. Poor Zoids, always read, often misunderstood.

What a cool idea! It almost makes me want to go out and start getting play sets for my Figmas! But then I remember that I already spend enough money on scales, soo.....> 3>

StephieHerbert (3 years ago) #14043248Oh, nothing at all negative meant toward him at all! I'm also a big fan of his writing and consider him a friend. He's a fun guy!
It was more a "I bought it and I love it and it's your fault so thanks?"

I kinda figured that was the case. I always liked his style of writing and his humor. I simply think people either get it or they don't. It's a lot like British comedy.

I kept thinking that I needed a dollhouse, and this settles it. Will have to run over to Target sometime.

Really nice furniture setups, your figures look like they're having so much fun!

Haha I've always wondered about these, as I pass by those sets constantly when I'm at the store with my niece. I liked how modern it looked but haven't taken the plunge to buy it yet. I would possibly be slightly wary of some of the accessories because the dolls have a rather different proportion than Figmas so the accessories may run large.
