Like always pics are in the spoilers and there are some NSFW pics too.
Enjoy. :)

The wardrobe
So let's get started with this blog. This year is only two weeks old and those where two weird weeks to me. It began with the white wardrobe in my room that became unstable. The risk that it will fall over was very big and unfortunately my figure shelf was too close to it (and i keep my Amiibo collection in it). So i take everyting out of that wardrobe and dismantled it before it really falls over. I was very lucky because only two screws where holding the hole wardrobe together. Otherwise my Smash bros Amiibo's would have been smashed to pieces.
(you can see how it looks in one of my precious blogs: blog/30026&... )

Then i need a new wardrobe and there isn't a single one with the same sizes as the one that doesn't exist anymore. So i cut the bookshelf in half and moved my main shelf so i can place a new wardrobe that is 20 centimeter wider. And the best part is that i now can store my empty boxes right next to it.

I didn't place them in the Home of the Brave blog but for the people who wants to know where i place my other anime related stuff and manga's.

Motorcycle license
Another big surprise was that i'm ready to take the first practical exam for my Motorcycle license. I didn't expect it so soon and i hope i will pass this exam so i can take on the second practical exam.

Photo's
In the first week i recieved a call. I compete in a photo challenge in a big fishtank exhibition and we had to send a bad picture and a good picture in for the challenge and i won with my really bad picture. The picture that i thought: 'oh, this one looks nice'. turns out to be one of the worsed pictures.
And about making pictures: a few weeks i read a blog here about 3D photo's and i totally forgot that i also have a 3D camera so i try some things out with it and posted some in this blog (Annaglyph and side to side). I also have some pictures made by another camera i forgot about it so i hope i can improve the photo's i make.

Durability
The main topic of today. It is eleven months ago that i bought ITEM #344700 and place it on my fishtank.
Well, you know what they say: A noodle stopper figure is used for everything except for stopping the noodle invasion.
To feed the fish i have to move Momo two times a day. And like you can see she has green fingers because the plants in the fishtank are doing well.
The question is what kind of influence has it when you move a figure every single day and when it is placed in a moisture place? One small notice, i keep her as much as possible out of the sunlight because sunlight is not only bad for figures but also for fishtanks.

Like you can see her head is still fine. There is noting noticable here to mention.
View spoilerHide spoilerhttp://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2017/01/15/1685828.jpeg

I did expect something about her right arm but like her head that part is also in good condition (i didn't expect that because 2 fish hit her arm by jumping out of the fishtank). When we look to her other arm we see that there is a spot on the palm of her hand. Except for that her left arm is good.

So far so good you think. Her body only has some small white spots on her.
View spoilerHide spoilerhttp://s1.tsuki-board.net/upload/pictures/2017/01/15/1685795.jpeg

But now we go to her legs and it seems that those had a rough time. There is a small crack on her butt by her left hip. There are also some pretty bad marks on the legs itself. It is not clearly seeable in the photo's but there are some paint damage marks on both her knees. Also the part where her legs merged are clearly visable. (the line you see on the legs)

The conclusion is simple. A figure will recieve some damage when you move it every single day. For a prize figure i really think Momo isn't doing very bad. She still stays on the same place and who knows how she will looks after another eleven months.

We rode XJ6 too at my school. It's a nice bike but don't close you eyes on other possibilities just because you're familiar with this one ;-)

You're right about that. There are some other bikes that i keep a close eye on. ;)

XRaptor73 years ago#17537914The durability bit is actually rather interesting and useful, but I'm not sure how much one can rely on it, because most people who do move their figures have them usually on a shelf (sometimes under glass). There appear to be a lot of factors which would normally be different or constant in larger figures (e.g. most figures have bases between them and the ground, which means less scuffing; lighting, humidity and temperature is rather constant; no risk of falling like in the fishtank etc.), but as a whole it's useful to know. Thanks for posting.
I know what you mean. I placed Momo differently than any other figure i own and if i compare Momo with the figures i have in my shelf than there is indeed a big difference. I posted this because it is interesting what a 'bad' setup does to a figure (in fact i didn't know where and how to place it so the noodle stopper figure became a Fish stopper figure).
Like you said it is not reliable because each figure has not the same quality and are not placed in the same environment. But it gives an indication.

I wanted a cruiser with plenty of space in the back so I could get rid of my car and still be able to carry loads of stuff around.

About this blog

Figure collecting is the base of my hobby. Around that, i like to enjoy this hobby to it's fullest by making some attributes myself. I believe in the sentence 'Doing Nothing is Achieving Nothing.' Which simply means that if you have a goal in mind you have to hunt it till you reached it (And then set a new goal). The subjects on my blog can be worlds apart because not only a collection grows over time, a person's knowledge and interest grows with the time too. Happy collecting.

Greetz,
Rajke
