Have you ever wondered what it looks like around Kotobukiya's home office in Tachikawa, Tokyo?

Well now you don't have to wonder, because you can check out the area with the help of the Frame Arms Girls!
www.facebook.co...

For those of you who aren't familiar with Frame Arms Girl, it is a line of plastic model kit figurines which are basically cute, but scantily-clad robot girls.

My favorite is Base (pronounced "Baze"), because she looks like an adorable bunny with those robot bunny ears on her head.

And, let's not forget the Frame Arms Girl anime that is currently on air in Japan! Has anyone seen it yet?

There are plenty more characters to build your model kit from, as well as Frame Arms Girl Cu-Poche mini action figures, in addition to a figure of our heroine, Ao Gennai. So feel free to check them out at your local retailer (listed inside the spoiler).

Kotobukiya (1 year ago) #22651807Or is it that Europe doesn't love Japan?! JK. The best advice I can offer is to continue requesting your favorite items at your local retailer, as the more requests they get, the more likely they are to recognize the demand and start carrying those products :)

Our "local" retailers tend to be very few, usually in neighbouring countries where you end up paying premium prices, due to the heavy domestic shipping atop on the heavy taxes charged on both shipping and goods which are ciphered over in the retail prices along with heavy profit margins. Not even mentioning the low stock that is usually bought in...

Quite frustating if you consider that Europe's trade decades ago with the east made Japan to the flourished nation it is today. So no, Europe loves Japan, it always has. But for some reason Japan is only willing to love the colonies... And not the homeland.

So disheartening.

nuffnmuch (1 year ago) #22021569I wanted to love Frame Arms Girl, but the base chest piece crumbled, under normal assembly conditions, on the one model kit I purchased. And the retailer I bought it from told me they could do nothing for me. So I was out around $35 and an unusable kit to show for it.

Nuffnmuch, thank you for posting your experience, and I'm so sorry to hear you received defective items! Please feel free to send an e-mail to questions@kotous.com with the product name, a photo and description of the defect, and mention that you are on MFC. They should be able to help you out if the replacement parts are available.

Shikaree (1 year ago) #22019866I feel like there's gotta be a better official description than "scantily-clad robot girls".

I don't know, that's already very accurate.

I wanted to love Frame Arms Girl, but the base chest piece crumbled, under normal assembly conditions, on the one model kit I purchased. And the retailer I bought it from told me they could do nothing for me. So I was out around $35 and an unusable kit to show for it. I also had problems with an Eren Yeager Rogue Titan kit. After that I was done. My collecting dollar will go to things I have confidence in.

I have bought and assembled many Gundam kits over the years, and never had an issue. But when two Kotobukiya kits broke in the same purchase year I lost faith in the product.

I am not trying to discourage anyone else from these products. I am glad for all who enjoy them. I am simply sharing my experience, and I truly wish my experience had been better, because I wanted to love them. They look so cool.

>Do you have any interest in model kits?
yes.

yes. and I love it.
>What kind of model kits do you like?
the reason I got into FAG, is because I like building model kits but I don't like mecha in general. I bought the baselard with the bluray.
