Trouble Using New MFCTrouble Using New MFCAsk MFC

SushiCatSushiCat3 years ago
Hey everyone!

I'm not on MFC a lot so maybe someone's already posted about this idk (if someone has, please point me in that direction), but is anyone else having a lot of trouble using the new version of the site? I'm struggling a lot figuring out how to do stuff eg. how the heck do I add/remove items from my lists? I cannot find how to do this. A lot of stuff that used to be super easy I can't figure out how to do anymore (see: searching for items), is there a 'How to Use' guide for the site or some secret hidden lore I don't know about?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Entirely agree with you.

It is so frustrating to search for an item to add into collection now which defeats the purpose of having mfc account in the first place :(

Ever since they changed the site, I've reduced my interactions with MFC... it's pretty bad. The website is almost unusable and not user friendly. Are the owners actually aware of this new design problem?
Is there even a place for us to submit feedback?

I don't mind the folks updating the site to make it more "modern", but it looks like they broke the site...

I was getting used to it, but goddamn trying to make a comment is the hardest thing. Want to preview? Green loading circle. Want to put an image in? Green loading circle. Want to click save? Double posting.

I don't understand why kuma didn't do a beta test first because this is getting irritating. Also I'm still bothered by the fact we can't change our banners.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feels this way.

It absolutely astounds me that the site is so difficult to use now. Options that were previously not a chore to find have quickly devolved into a game of "Where's Waldo?" (or in this case, "Where The F**k Is The Button!?"

I really do not mind updates to the aesthetic of the site, but this truly is a flustercuck. Everything is too small and too smooshed together. Honestly, it's really put me off from visiting MFC as frequently as I used to, and it's a shame. I'm not putting down the effort to revitalize the layout of the site, but it would be nice if it were done better and with a little more effort to listen to feedback from users. :/

I said it before and i'll say it again. Site looks and works like someone just slightly modified a free template.

Now search is less intuitive, nsfw constantly toggles on and off and you have to have the site zoomed in to like 125-150% just to see anything.

kevinlowl3 years ago#26129041Terrible update. Site literally unusable. Made me quit collecting.

I haven't quit collecting, quite. Sure have cut it down to almost nothing. There's not much fun in sharing the joy of acquisition when it's so difficult to communicate here anymore.

I checked out some of my old stamp collecting sites. Most of them have "upgraded" too. The whole web has gone mad. I knew we should have stuck with Usenet.

kettenkrad3 years ago#26138691This person should probably open a gofundme or kickstarter if they need any sort of help, and maybe to speed things up? I'll gladly contribute to their cause and if the other website proves to be better than this crap I'll also gladly sub if it's available. Considering that I've only enjoyed 3 months of my 1 year sub so far, it's totally negligible especially if the devs of this website only reeks of MY SITE MY RULES WAH WAH even to their actual supporters (which most of us were only made aware after all this v4 mess). I've been here for 7 years lol. Incredibly disappointing, really.it was loveanime who told me in the v4 feedback forum so you could ask them who this mysterious person is not sure if this person wants to be anonymous or not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
but i agree im sure plenty of people would wanna contribute myself included !
