This is the School Idol Festival, Nishikino Maki, 1/7. She stands at about 9 inches or 24cms. She is part of the Love Live School Idol Festival series, and like all the other figures she comes with a very unique look and feel. For Maki she is given a phantom bride look, vale and all, but it is a look that really works, even if it doesn’t really fit the character herself. Starting from the top she has a cute hat atop her lacy vale that is held on by magnets and underneath that her vale that is spotted with bats and stars in the meshing. This vale perfectly fits her head and doesn’t feel like it needs any help to stay there also long as you don’t tip the figure. Next is Maki’s perfectly sculpted hair that mirrors the anime to a T, even getting the coloring right. Here you can remove the vale as you so choice. Her cute expression with a bit of a “shhh don’t be scare” look as she holds her hand to her mouth really show off how kind hearted she is. In her other hand she holds a haunted lantern that can actually light up, if you can find the batteries where you live, but the lantern looks great even without the light. Her outfit features a sleeveless clear top with a laced bralette, each having frilled edges and detailed with bat bows and roses; a common theme throughout the figure. The skirt is black and purple layering with purple trimmings and more hidden details. Her arms have lace meshing topped with a haunted house fence look and black gloves with patterns and frilled edges too. Maki’s legs feature the same lacing as her arms but with long tied boots up to her knees. All of this showing her flawless skin to give you a bit of sexiness to this cute model. Her paint job features blacks and purples throughout with hints of red and silver to accent details. Also understanding where to use more of a glossy tone and mat painting on others. My only gripe with this figure is that there is a line on the top of her head where the hair connects together, but this isn’t visible with the vale on, so it is barely a problem.
Overall all of the School Idol Festival figures have been amazing and flowless, with each one having very unique outfits. Each character getting their own kind of theme, and each one being worth every penny. For people who love, Love Live, I recommend you collect just this figure line of the characters, and maybe the Nendoroids; this being because the Love Live Festival series really puts a lot of love and details into these figures. They aren’t scaled weirdly, sculpted badly or painted lazily, each one is flawless and perfect. So, if you have any love for any of the Love Live girls, go find your favorite girl and check out her Love Live Festival version; I promise you won’t be disappointed!
