    About mixing hair,
you can't be certain that the front hair will even fit into another nendoroid's back hair. (This is especially true for an old nendo with a new nendo.) Even if the notches fit, there will probably be a gap or slightly different shape to the head. If it is unsightly enough then you would have to add some form of clay and sand it smooth, and then paint both.

Occasionally 2 different hairs go well together but if you don't have both on hand already, it could be a waste of money. I can totally understand not wanting to do extra modifications. If I can, I just use a part that is "close enough".

The cost of craft materials and parts adds up too. (I learned that the hard way after a trip from the art supplies store orz.) If you haven't already, try adding up how much it would cost to do a particular custom. If it is too much to do it one way, see if there is an alternative you can live with.

Mekuneko (1 year ago) #28330165Yeah I also don't think the headband is a problem, just make it look like part of Yuuko's outfit. She wears a lot of decoration, and headbands as well.
To make the result looks good, I'd suggest to find an outfit for Yuuko that's somewhat matching the Kuroshiro's dress – this way you have a reference and it should be easier to make Yuuko as stylish as she is in the series.
Mekuneko (1 year ago) #28330246And a random thought after my message... maybe you could even use Kuroneko's front hair and Mio's back hair? This is probably not the most cost efficient, but could possibly work.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was also thinking on mixing the two hairstyles (it would have been perfect!), but the colors are very different sadly. Kuroneko is more on the blue side, while Mio is more black... That would mean that I would have to buy paint T_T. Though I've just remembered about the red dress from the Nendoroid more series (ITEM #287860). I think that it could work on Yuuko, even if I do prefer her to have a more traditional japanese outfit.

I feel Kuroneko's headband flowers could work for Yuuko with some repainting, and then maybe adding more flowers or something else on to them. :)
