I believe that I'm in the huge minority, but I don't get why people like figure boxes so much.
I understand that they are useful to put figures in for moving places, and that they can look great.
But when you start having 50+ figures, the thought of having a whole wall of boxes of different t sizes, or a closet, is just a huge turn off for me.
How come everyone seems so obsessed with these boxes?
Edit:
After reading all of these replies (sorry I couldn't quote all of you, that would be insanely hard, but I did read all of your messages), I now understand why you keep your boxes and they are completely valid reasons and have obvious merit, sadly they don't quite affect me because I won't be moving for a few years since I have no reason to move and it would be way more effort to sell my place than it would be to move these figures without boxes.
I truly appreciate all of your replies <3

Well I am glad to know that someone else does the same as me. Max I ever had were 30 boxes when I first began collecting, when I saw the boxes pilled up as neatly as I could place them on a wall, I decided it looked terrible and trashed them all. Will continue trashing them because figures by them selves already take a big space, don't need to increase that space x3 with boxes.
Hokuto (3 months ago) #30899931I trashed more than 300 figure boxes, and I usually do it same day they arrive, 0 regrets
haha it's not that big but definitely large enough to sleep comfortably, especially one as large as myself.
My new place is 4 times bigger than my old place in Queens and half the price. It really depends on where you live.
wow muz be really deep and wide. the space can probably fit a single bed inside
I uploaded a pic but its hard to tell how many boxes there are. The closet is pretty wide and very deep. PICTURE #1902138
Butcher (3 months ago) #30896790Lucky, where I live, a home with an extra room would cost me between 100 to 200k more. So definitely not worthy of keeping boxes.
If I move to Georgia someday, for the same price I could get a 5 bedroom 4 bathroom home!

Sunildatt (3 months ago) #30896767LOL naw I definitely meant 800+
I lost track of the exact number but over 500 fit in one of my closets and the rest are in the other closet with plenty of free space for future figures!
I have 2 more closets too. Long Island has some really big houses with tons of storage :)

maybe he/she meant 80 instead of 800 haha
Plus some boxes that premium format figures have are really nice, and I can't bear to throw them out.
