Western Figures?Western Figures?

I know this is a place for people who collect mainly Japanese anime figures, but is there anyone that is also into western figures?

For me I have:

Threezero Rick Grimes

Threezero Daryl Dixon deluxe(pre-ordered)

McFarlane Color Tops red Daryl Dixon

McFarlane Kaneki Ken (western company)

ITEM #392857

Tsukiyama too ^

McFarlane and SkyBound Saga: Alana and Marko

BifBangPow The Twilight Zone: Dr. Bernardi
^ this order comes with a free extra figure that will be a surprise when it gets here
A mattel doll of Frank Sinatra (wtf lol)
Lastly, 1 wwe figure im using to customize into MugenENTRY #3695

Whats in your western collection? Is there a sight equivalent of MFC for these types? Id like to organize this growing part of my collection as well

Thanks

yurirainbowz (9 months ago) #31475328Well just based on Rick, I really like it. It's what I expected based on pics and reviews I've seen, I'm really fond of it. I can't say for the company as a whole, but I only plan to get their walking dead line and that's it..so far, so good! Just wish they were a little bit cheaper.

Thanks for answering my question! :)

The only experience I have with this company are the RWBY figures. (I had to save like a mad man to get those...)

tharglet (9 months ago) #31420249Had another look at the site, yeah, there seems to be like some NECA stuff, but I feel I'd have to add a shedload of stuff to the db, otherwise I'm gonna have huge chunks missing. I don't mind adding some stuff, but there seems to be a LOT of Western stuff missing, even though they seem to allow it.
That, and the site still feels worse than my impressions of MFC v4. None of the search fields are typeaheads, and that's just plain annoying.

Yeah, I won't argue with some of that. It has it's pluses and minuses....some areas such as messaging and such are better than MFC, others not so much....but I will say after using it for a bit (I use both sites regularly...not sure why but oh well) it has grown on me and I do like it. Felt clunky to navigate at first but I find it easier now, so think it may take just a bit of getting used to.

And yes, I've had to add a couple of my figures below (and not like I had that many extras right), so that may very well be the case....BUT...if you don't mind doing that so that you can have ONE sight that literally has all your stuff, then it works.

Good luck with whatever you go with and I'd be curious if you found another site that has all the anime stuff, western, and unlicensed. I will note though, the more "other" stuff they have by default the harder it is to filter through the new and upcoming items...you get bombarded by "other" stuff, which for me I've found is generally a bunch of junk I could care less about.

Stacycmc (9 months ago) #31418405You can track it on MyAnimeShelf.... they have most all figures and if not let you add them. I've added several figures there that were not "anime" or japanese....and they even will let you add unlicensed figures.

Yeah, I have a handful that I either own or have ordered:

Owned:

Ordered:

I also have a custom Bioshock Infinite Elisabeth doll that was made from a Ever After High doll...I commissioned someone to repaint her face and re-root her hair, then made her some clothes to match the game (but she still has that larger-than-body head appearance that Ever After High dolls have...):

Oh and yes...I am able to track all my normal anime figures, plus these "western" ones from above, and my unlicensed RED Mark Ninja Storm Kakashi, all on MAS (myanimeshelf.co...).

tharglet (9 months ago) #31416091Yeah, I have a huge chunk of Western stuff - I don't know of a good site I can track it on, so I don't. There are generalistic collection tracking sites, but I can't be arsed to add everything I own, in a mediocre format.
Maybe FigureRealm is the closest, but I've never felt the desire to create an account there.

I started out with japanese figures, but over time their figures just got too expensive for me. So I started collecting marvel legends and mezco action figures last year.

Yes, I have a lot of McFarlane toys from the late 90s-00s, Star Wars, Comic Book characters and other assorted figures I usually buy at toy stores and comic book shops.
