I had the same thing happen to my Super Sonico Bath Time figure (ITEM #61448), which I bought sealed.

Her flocked / fuzzy towel was so yellow looking and it made me really upset. I soaked in it 3% Hydrogen Peroxide in a bowl with plastic wrap over it, and let it sit in the sun when I could (speeds up the bleaching process). It is back to it's former glory with no ill side effects!

The only way I think the figure could have suffered from smoke damage is if you or someone in your household smokes.

Since the figure is a pre-owned one, maybe the previous owner was a smoker and/or had someone who was living with them.

If this is not the case, the cause could lie elsewhere. :/

(I hope this was helpful! >.<)

I have the same figure and I also bought it pre-owned and it also has the same problem.
    I guess it's a manufacturing problem.

    Copied from above blog

    C) Soak into water with a mixture

This one is Good for yellowed Figures due Time or Smoke, especially the white ones, with time they tend to be yellowed, so to clean it put your figure under water and leave it in a mixture, you can use vinegar or lemon in the misture to turn the figure into its previous glory, after that use a soft sponge and soap.
