The General's Nendo Collection, 5/20/19The General's Nendo Collection, 5/20/19

Now that my Sailor Moon Figuarts collecting is considered satisfactory for the time being (I've got the base forms of the Inners and Outers and will get Sailor Chibi Moon for my birthday), I wanna resume Nendo collecting, and talk about what I've currently got after rearranging.

The mostly-VG-Nendos shelf; MFC refused to upload the original pic, so I split it in half. I didn't really like how low my Abyssal Fleet ladies were before, so I gave them a bigger riser and shuffled the others around; also moved WW!Link to the spot Marth occupied before, so now all the Links are grouped together.

A better view of Tracer and Mei, who weren't here earlier.

The part few days, I've also been trying to wash some of the stickiness off of certain older Nendos, and now Absolute!Miku, Madoka, Black Rock Shooter, and Makise feel a little better to the touch.

Sayaka, Kyouko, and Harley Quinn have moved to the second shelf. If I get more Nendos to put down here, their spots will probably change.

On to the other bookcase:

My biggest interests Nendo-wise are Fate and Touken Ranbu, and I recently acquired Juzumaru from CrimsonWonder (disclaimer: not ready to actually keep Juzumaru on the shelf just yet); my other current three were moved here after Tracer and Mei were relocated, 'cuz I wanted a better view of them. Not yet sure what I'll do if I manage to expand my touken danshi beyond a measly five (we'll get back to that)...

Arthur, Wonder Woman, and Mordred, taken before I started rearranging stuff. All three of 'em are new additions (for a given definition of "new"; it's been a while since I took that last collection-overview pic); Arthur was pre-ordered from Lunar Toy Store, while the latter two were both found at Hamacon.

Aoba and Kojaku, no longer using the same long base (mostly just so I can take them over to my desk individually). Still no other DMMD dudes as of yet...

Gilgamesh and Ishtar (plus OVA!BRS if you squint). Is "ground level" really the best place for the King of Heroes? He say thee, "nay".

Finally: this pic didn't turn out that great, I think, but it's still a close-up of Red, who wasn't in the last overview.

Nikkari Aoe will be added sometime soon-ish (probably as part of my birthday stuff), hence "five" rather than "four".

--

Some things I hope to do:

* Get enough commissions to buy Nendo!Etna off of one of my sisters; I've been wanting to do so for a while, but never had enough monies to do that AND take care of higher-priority stuff. (EDIT: Done!)

* Pre-order Hachisuka Kotetsu from GSC. Gotta have at least one starter sword, right? (EDIT: Also done!)

* Knock at least Astolfo off of my wishlist. Maybe one of the Hamacon vendors will have them this year, but I'm not sure...

--

And finally, a bonus pic I took of Ishtar last year, back when I was using that big 'ol CRT monitor:

general-radix (5 months ago) #59686293Same here; with most of mine it's not too much of an issue, but then there's cases like Ishtar, or BotW!Link (where I had to give him a different base arm to make him stop leaning upwards).
(Astolfo too, huh? Well, at least I've got three spare pegs I could try changing theirs out with if I ever get 'em...)

yea my astolfo and male saber have to be displayed without their capes, and im using the regular C arm stand. Rem had some loose issues too. For shielder, i dropped her since her stand was loose (had to paint those scuff marks off T_T)

alluhaman (5 months ago) #59683193i noticed a pattern with some of these new nendoroids and some old. such as scathach, gilgamesh (original), astolfo. They all have loose pegs or shallow holes. i had to add a layer of superglue on the peg to make it a little thicker. =.=

general-radix (5 months ago) #59682346Yep. XD; Trying to angle it downward a bit so that she wouldn't be leaning upward did help a little, though.
