It's getting to that point where it's time to stop collecting and move on.
It's not that fun to blog here to me and I don't see a reason to comment on articles anymore so I'm watching the endpoint for collecting Anime getting moved up to the end of December.
I'm happy about this.
Took care of cancelling the last preorders I had for Anime figures for 2020 and now down to waiting on a the remaining figures I have on order and plan to pick up the 2 items on the wishlist next month and that's it.
ITEM #619109
ITEM #842570
ITEM #850350
At the moment that's what I'm waiting for and once those get in I don't see a need to keep looking at Anime figures and I feel like this is a good way to end 10 years here and that's with getting away from it and moving on.
ITEM #696864 is the last Scaled figure preorder I'll be dealing with.
I had a chance to get out of this hobby 10 years ago when I purged a ton of my collection and could have gotten out of it then but stuck with it after changing the way I did things and now I've hit the wall with running out of space and I don't feel the need to bother with trying to solve that issue so time to disconnect from collecting.

ITEM #222546 and ITEM #743967 were the latest additions to the collection and the space I had left for some new figures has filled up pretty quickly so I am tired of looking for new figures.
MFC has lost it's appeal to me as a site to blog on and right now the last remaining activity I may have here is to update the collection if I get anything in next year and right now this site isn't fun anymore to me so all I can think about is moving on from collecting Anime and it feels like my time and effort to share my passion for collecting has been something of a waste of time with the way this site has gone so I don't see the reason for putting effort and energy into something that's lost it's fun factor so it's almost time to warp out of here so I know I'm done with Anime for now not sure if I'll come back to it next year but I am committed to this path and after seeing a lot of complaining here over the past few weeks I have to wonder if collectors do nothing but complain and I'm tired of thinking about that so it's an excellent idea to me to unplug from things.
ITEM #770603 and
ITEM #581700 should be the last additions to the collection for 2019 and the collection size will end at 280 for now.
I have to wonder if my time here was a good use of Time and with things as they are here I wonder if it was worth it to stick around here for a Decade and I am one of the last few active users from that time still here but once 2020 gets here I will no longer be active here.
I'm at my endpoint for collecting and I put in 20 years of collecting Anime so what about you how long have you been collecting Anime?

Feels like that's part of the reason why I'd preorder any figure now If I felt like it since I have to be attached to that character to a certain extent to justify a preorder of the character.
I also collect action figures(Mainly Marvel Legends/Select, DCC, and NECA) alongside the anime ones, and they actually make up the more significant portion of my collection. So, if you do get back to collecting, they'll definitely keep you busy. And, hey, despite how things seem now, if you do get the urge to buy more anime figures, you could always try downsizing to free up some space.
I no longer have the patience or the energy for doing sales, for years I did that online and was burned out fairly quickly plus the platform I used for that went to crap [ebay] and I do not have the energy to keep managing a constant inflow of new additions every month.
In order for things to resume at a future date and be healthy instead of descending into unhealthy fixation and repetitive behavior I need to take a lengthy rest and right now shutting down is the most logical and rational choice it's a perfect way to end a very busy year and after adding almost 35 figures to the collection this month I can no longer collect to where it's a constant stream of figures being added in even with all the proper management routines followed.
Guess you can say I'm long overdue for a vacation from the collecting hobby.
I will not have another opportunity to change the current course I'm on until the first of the year and right now I follow a course to it's end once it's set and at the moment the need to get out of the hobby takes priority because I have had a very busy year for collecting and right now this is the best time to get out of it since I'm still happy with how things have gone on the collecting side just ran out of space and patience for the hobby so the only way things may get back to normal is shut down.
I started way back in the 90's is when I first started with Action figures with the old Plamates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line and managed to catch the end of the Gi Joe Toyline before getting sucked into collecting Star Wars Power of the Force in 1995 since then I've been locked into collecting Action figures and I can say that if I do continue to collect anything next year it's Action Figures.
So that's about 30 of my 35 years of life that's been spent collecting figures.
Just time to get the mind calmed down to where there is no stress or strain from the hobby and no obsession and fixation on anything since that's starting to happen again and I don't like to be fixated on things.
Ah, okay, that's completely understandable. Just wanted to make sure that a negative atmosphere wasn't the driving force for making you lose your enthusiasm. I've gotten to the point where I'm a bit passive about collecting. I enjoy it, but I have 10+ figures still unopened in their boxes, and I'm content with waiting for deals on most of the things that I want. I balance it with other hobbies like reading, writing, and gaming so that I'm never really overwhelmed by it.
