Collaboration possible?

While I am still waiting to see when the Elza 1/6 scale will finally be released it’s been what now 2 maybe 3 delays…

I got to thinking and I believe that I may have brought this up in a blog before but for the life of me I can’t seem to recall which one.

Do any of you know of companies that are not partners or affiliates collaborating in some way shape of form? I would love to see the above figurine get a ¼ scale but that would mean that FREEing or Binding would need to get involved to get this done. Now I am uncertain if Orca toys would release the patent or lend the sculptor to one of these 2 companies to make a ¼ scale prototype.

Have any of you collector’s ever heard of this type of collaboration happening?
If so then how did the collaboration get started if you know?
How did it turn out? Was the product released in a different scale?
How was the end result? just as good as the smaller scaled one?

I look forward to comments below.

Ribose and Myethos collabed to make Lily Wine.

She is technically being sold as a Ribose figure tho.

There's also the Orange Rouge label which is Good Smile and Max Factory collaborating for a male only line. Someone already mention Alpha x Omega. There's also times when one company "sponsors" another i.e. this item ITEM #603828 distributed by GSC but manufactured by Myethos. I think collabs mostly work with one company sharing a license with another to manufacture. This is just a theory though and I have no sources. It's just my Alpha x Omegas definitely look like Megahouse's work and my Orange Rouge's look more like a Max Factory figure. Although in Myethos' case it might just be partnering with a Japanese company to have easier access to the Japanese market since it's a Chinese (and pretty damn good!) manufacturer.

Usually collabs turn out pretty good imo. Maybe I'm just easy to please.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I love all your kitty pics~

ITEM #846052

I've seen this collaboration between Prime 1 Studio and MegaHouse passing by. However, I'm not sure what MegaHouse did to warrant this mention outside of being a "Distributor" as the MFC page said. It definitely looks more Prime 1 than MegaHouse.
