I finally managed to score ITEM #658026 after TOM cancelled my preorder... But when she arrived there were numerous issues.
The first issue I noticed was the clunking of her broken tail bouncing around outside of the blister seal. Then I also noticed that she was facing backwards in her box?https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2020/02/07/2381910.jpeg

The plastic seals that were on her box seemed to have been peeled off and pressed back down. And not well. Now if that wasn’t enough, she also has some paint defects. The largest of which being on the cloud/water. These same marks are on the flowers, her tail and her hip as well. The marks almost look like she has been dropped.

The outer box she had been shipped in had no damage, not even so much as a dented corner so I can’t imagine that these issues happened during shipping.
I know a lot of people have been having issues with this item, as well as the exclusive version - so perhaps this is just the result of poor QC. Whatever has happened I can easily say this has been my most frustrating figure order yet. I even had to pay customs upon delivery which only increased her already high price tag.
Right now I’m working on either getting a replacement or a refund but it’s all incredibly frustrating. I know I can reattach her tail and do paint touch ups but really, for the price we pay for these things we shouldn’t have to.

Oh, wow that's terrible! I only had a small red spot on the back of her stand, but judging from this and the conmments on the figure pages, I've been super lucky. I had no idea that the F4F CS and QC was such joke.

I hope you'll be able to either get a replacement or a refun, because this is unacceptable. I can definitely understand your frustration and disappointment. :(

First4Figures is the worst fucking statue company on the planet and I'm so upset they've stayed in business.

I was excited for the company pretty much from the beginning. However, from day 1 they also didn't know what they were doing, and have always had problems. I remember a few of their earlier statues I'm pretty sure more than 50% they had to replace; Fierce Deity Link arrived broken for a lot of people as did Dark Link.

It pieces weren't broken then the paint jobs were sloppy. I straight up found a fingerprint on my Tails statue. If that was the issue customer service was like "That's the nature of these statues; none will be painted the same and so that's to be expected".

I bought my Metal Sonic from a third party seller. Bizarrely, I opened it up and the base had dust and scratches all over it. I even reported my findings on the F4F forums at the time when CS wouldn't help me because I didn't buy from them and a mod straight up told me "Well how do WE know you didn't break the statue yourself?". Those dust and scratches that looked like someone keyed it? Why would I do that?

I actually eventually got banned from those forums when I started documenting all the stupid things the company did and I only wish I'd copied and saved it myself. I remember another issue being Knuckles legs were spread too far apart due to how he was sitting in his box with the styrofoam. F4F's "solution" was to "Let him sit out for awhile and he should go back into his intended position".

People also used to report how their statues have fallen apart over time on their Facebook group. It got so bad F4F realized it's bad for business and barred people from posting about broken statues now because it's a "CS issue" and were really rude to me when I pointed out they were just covering up how they refuse to care about how they're still manufacturing overpriced and poorly put together products.

I only buy now when they release an obscure character. I pre-ordered their Conker and I got an email that they guessed wrong about shipping price. Are they refunding that money? NOPE! They're forcing you to take a coupon for the difference so you have to give them the money back anyway.

NemsEngelAceSasu10 months ago#75255417Its been 180 Days for a while now.Yes they purposely do this with all their Pre-orders. It's all part of the scheme they play, given all the problems people have they wouldn't have a business anymore if Paypal could step in xD

You know what, everyone I know who buys from first4Figures always end up with a broken piece. If you follow their facebook page you will see people posting complaining on a daily almost hourly basis shooting off pictures of their broken figures looking for help.

I stay away from them, their honestly a greedy bunch. And they do their manufacturing in Hong Kong and Mainland, that says it all. I've watched videos of their procedures.. it's so unprofessional the environment the workers work in, an absolutely disorganised mess.

Oh no, I had exactly the same problem with broken tail, and even tho my Amy wasn't facing back of the box, her disc was snapped too. Tho she was purchased from local shop (decided to order from them coz i've had lot of points to use) and they agreed to exchange her, will see how it goes.

OceanRoost10 months ago#75212030 they offered me 5 dollars refund in points for an almost $500 dollar figure.

Seriously?! That's even more insulting than not getting a refund at all!

KyokiPon10 months ago#75212650Did you use paypal? Has it been more than 40 days?
Usually paypal is very helpful if it hasn't been more
than 40 days (not sure if it has changed) but if you
show them proof, etc, there's a chance you could get
most if not all of your money back.
♥ best of luck.

I did actually. I also ordered her from Hot Topic of all places since Tom cancelled my PO. I was getting ready to try through PayPal since I’ve had to argue with them a lot, but they’re finally offering a refund. I feel very lucky after hearing more of these f4f horror stories..

OceanRoost10 months ago#75212030I've had bad experiences with First 4 Figures as well. The old Okami figure they made fell apart because the rods holding it together were hollow.
Their customer service is also a huge joke, they offered me 5 dollars refund in points for an almost $500 dollar figure.

Jesus. I'd heard kind of mixed reviews, but all this is some FOTS level garbo.

I was a bit disappointed that I hadn't sprung for their Midna (I don't collect resin or bigger than 1/7 scale, but she's been one of my favorite characters for years), but now I'm feeling okay about that decision. I'd been contemplating this figure too, but again, maybe I dodged a bullet. OP, this seriously sucks. There's no excuse for a figure to literally be the wrong way in the blister. /:
