Hello,

I was wondering what do you do with packages you just received during this time?

Do you put it away for a day or so and then unpack it, i'll be honest im a little scared to get packages now because im afraid it can transfer on to you trough card board or im i thinking to much if it?

So my question is what do you do?

Thank you for your comments and stay safe and inside not only for yourself but for others as well!

Just unbox the parcel the way it's supposed to be.
After you get your hands on the card boxes , you should wash your hands anyway.
It's regardless to the outbreak.

Not much need to be done, and remember that opening a parcel isn't the major reason people get infected.

I rather focus on maintaining high level of personal hygiene and avoiding close contact with others.

Thank you very much for all the comments & tips.

I will get plastic gloves as soon as possible if they ever are restocked again just to be safe.

Thank you once again & stay healthy!

Well, I already had a habit of washing my hands after I'm done with packages (as those things travel a long way). Apart from continuing to do that, I really just have started throwing away packaging materials rather than reusing them, out of an abundance of caution. I'm really not worried about getting COVID just from a mail delivery, but if you display the figure and put the box in storage and wash your hands well after, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.

Open it right away, check the content then set aside... I usually don't unbox my figures right away anyway...

I keep the packages outside for something between 10 to 12 hours.

I take a Clorox wipe, wipe down the box once it's in my home (I get the box with gloves from my mail room), then I immediately throw away the box, like INSTANT. Then I take out the merchandise and ALSO wipe that down with a wipe, and finally I have my item. I have a few times wiped down the contents (rubber straps, books, figures, etc) once it's out but not all the time.

I just open my packages as I usually would and make sure to wash my hands really good after with antibacterial soap! (and I say this as a person with ocd and fear of being sick)

I recieved my Levi Figma today, he is secondhand.
I opened the package with rubber gloves and mask, deboxed him, put him in water with dishsoap and let him soak for 3 hours.
After that i rinsed everything and disinfected him with anti virus disinfectant (just small drops on the toiletpaper and rubbed gently over him).

spray down cardboard box upon receipt > open and take out figure box > trash cardboard box in recycle bin > wipe down figure box w/ clorox/lysol wipe > let sit until completely air dried > wash hands

Everything, no matter what it is, gets sanitized in my entryway (phone, keys, food packaging, etc). Regular mail sits in a designated spot in the entryway for a day or two before it gets touched. Packages get opened in the entryway and outer boxes are brought back out immediately to be recycled. Any protective device (paper, bubblewrap, etc), gets thrown away/recycled immediately. Whatever is in the package sits in the next layer of the entryway for at least 1-2 days before it is opened/touched. And obviously after I've opened/handled everything, hands are washed, if I used scissors to open it I'll disinfect that too.
