Hello again MFC,

If you haven't seen my recent reviews I'm working towards a goal reviewing all my scale figures. Been a little busy in the last month so it's been a little while since the last one but finally managed to find the time to do another. This will be my 9th scale figure review (out of currently 18 scale figures), and is one I just recently received as a birthday present. The God Tongue and Queen herself, Nakiri Erina from Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars) ITEM #324631

This one had been high on my wishlist for a long time. I'm a fan of the anime, and it's one of the few anime I can get my wife to watch since it's about cooking. But more importantly the pose sitting atop the throne looks phenomenal.

There is a translucent hand piece included with this figure that is meant to be grabbing her shoe, but to be honest I think it looks a little weird so I won't be including it.

I love the expression on her face. It's so well done that you can almost feel her looking down on you and belittling you from atop her throne (despite the fact she's much smaller than you).

Her outfit is quite nice as well, it hugs her body very tightly and the red and white look good together. Along with the ruffles and outfit it does a good job with the royal theme. I was a little worried with this figure that there would be a very blatant up-skirt view given the pose, but with the legs crossed as they are and the way the skirt falls there's actually no view at all. One thing I will say is that she seems to be a bit more "well endowed" than I recall her being in the anime.

The base on this one is pretty unique, the red box on which the throne sits is covered with felt, and I love the bright red carpet color they used. The throne simply sits on top of the box wherever you would like to place it with no pegs or attachments.
The detail on the throne itself is very nice and adds a lot to the figure. Erina is simply placed on the throne much like a noodle stopper (I suspect you could probably use her like one if you really wanted to).

This figure has a lot of presence thanks to the throne and red box elevating the figure, which is something I love in a figure. Despite being a 1/8 scale she doesn't look out of place alongside any of my 1/7 scales (in fact she's actually taller than most of them going to the top of the throne).

A few size comparisons:
Alongside a 1/7 scale ITEM #198363, when you look closely you can tell the figure itself is smaller, but I don't really notice thanks to the throne.
Alongside another 1/7 scale ITEM #147115, with this one I can barely tell the difference in scale

Overall, I absolutely love this figure. It's one of the few figures in my collection that I can't really think of anything negative to say about it (or even nitpick about really). Would highly recommend this figure to anyone debating whether to get her or not. She is perfection in my eyes.

Thanks for reading! As always feel free to let me know what you think. Until the next review!
