Hey, thanks for stopping by! There are quite a few guidebooks by Tamiya from around the same era. I'm also searching for a few, but they seem rather hard to come by.

What a cool find! It's interesting how little some aspects of the hobby have changed (including Tamiya's packaging, what the hell...) and what tools I thought were innovations were actually commonplace back in the 80s.
I was never much of a kit builder, but I did love the 4WD race cars as a kid. There's just something about those kit packagings with the model on stark-white background... I always thought that they were very cool.
