Hello MFC! And welcome to another blog in my collection series! These blogs cover figures from my collection that have been in storage for a long time due to my emigration. I also use this as an opportunity to practice with my new camera and also appreciate the items I have been owning for a longer time!

The figures we are going to look at today:

- Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu - Kinoshita Hideyoshi - Kinoshita Hideyoshi's Shoukanjuu - 1/8 (Alter) ITEM #42024
- Strike Witches - Francesca Lucchini - 1/10 (GDH, Organic) ITEM #3708
- Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow - Lynette Bishop - 1/8 - Bunny Style (Aquamarine) ITEM #396977
- Queen's Blade Rebellion - Ymir - Queen's Blade Rebellion Mini (Hobby Japan) ITEM #103273

Although we have gotten a lot of otokonoko figures lately, a favorite (and maybe almost a classic) will remain Alter's Hideyoshi!

Strike Witches - Francesca Lucchini - 1/10 (GDH, Organic) ITEM #3708

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622752.jpeg

A peculiar figure if I say so myself, I have reviewed her in more detail a while back here: BLOG #42737 .

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622753.jpeg

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622754.jpeg

Oops, only now I realized I put the knife the other way around in her hand! Going to fix it up in my display case right away. Sorry, but the readers have to do with these pictures!

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622755.jpeg

The quality of this figure is all over the place. Lots of random paint errors and sealed in dirt. Still, this figure has a nice, nostalgic charm. Very different from all other Strike Witches figures.

Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow - Lynette Bishop - 1/8 - Bunny Style (Aquamarine) ITEM #396977

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622764.jpeg

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622765.jpeg

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622766.jpeg

I am actually not sure how she is supposed to be put on the base, I assume like the last picture?

I was very impressed with this figure when I unboxed her for the first time! She has this kind of 'softness' around her I haven't encountered on other figures.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622758.jpeg

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622759.jpeg

The transparency on the pantyhose has been achieved very nicely. I like the look of the heels with the small silver piece at the bottom.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622760.jpeg

Such a cute face!

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622761.jpeg

The bunny suit has very nice shading and fit.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622762.jpeg

I also really like the inclusion of the black jacket!

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622763.jpeg

I don't think I've seen Lynette's braid in a style like this before.

Originally I wasn't very interested in these figures, but I was a lot more impressed with them in-person. I think that Erica and Shirley are even better looking and I will be covering them in blogs soon as well!

Queen's Blade Rebellion - Ymir - Queen's Blade Rebellion Mini (Hobby Japan) ITEM #103273

Last but not least for this blog is this little trading figure I got in 2019 BLOG #45560 to match her scaled figure ITEM #18544 .

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622767.jpeg

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622768.jpeg

Hehe, she is a bit weird, but so cute! All the tiny details are great!

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622769.jpeg

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622770.jpeg

There even is a mini sideboob in chibi form, hehe!

Bonus: The figure room

I have made a lot of progress lately in setting up of the figure room and alongside I've been working on that blog I have been talking about, in which I explain how I've set everything up and the thoughts behind each shelf. I prefer to have the room more finished before I post it, though.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622771.jpeg

All the boxes on the left is what I still need to unpack, haha.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622772.jpeg

The wall on the right has it's first two detolfs and the planning and cleaning of the next two is under way.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622777.jpeg

My Lynette shelf for now!

Lucchini~

Hideyoshi~

Tanya~

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622796.jpeg

The current mess my to-be-done Moetan and POP shelf is.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622799.jpeg

I started with hanging some of the straps.

https://static.myfigurecollection.net/upload/pictures/2021/01/31/2622805.jpeg

I also set up the first wall scroll, with a lot more to come on the walls here!

And to finish it!

For those who read all this way, thank you! My next blog will probably be probably be a loot blog!

I hope you enjoyed this blog, you could also check my other ones when interested! As promised, for every new blog I would fix the image hosting of an older blog. As the figure was shortly mentioned in this article, I decided to fix up my full review of her:

Maakie3 months ago#91357743Thanks! And...well, it still is very time consuming haha. Next to it being a lot of hours of work, it also doesn't really go fast because only in the weekends I am able to make a bit more progress on it every time. But it's very fun to work on it!
In theory I can fit more display cabinets in the room than the 2 walls that are planned now, but I think I will limit myself to this amount so I also have a more set rule on how big my collection at maximum is allowed to be.
Your comment about the background makes me think if the wall on the right should also have a dark background hehe. I have earlier been thinking about making more specific backgrounds and/or floors depending on shelves, but on the other hand I also like having the visible/see-through glass.
Thank you for mentioning! :D Things could be better in the current state of the world, but I am doing well overall, thanks for asking! :)

I know what you mean, I have set up 2 Deltofs myself and to do one seemed like a whole afternoon. I hope you got better at setting them up.

Positioning figures so they look just right becomes a surprisingly time consuming task.

Yes When i started out collecting I think the initial constraint... after finding figures on sale at the bargain bin was shelf space... That stopped me spending too much money on figures until I didn't want to.

Yeah with the lighting I think a black background is your best bet.

victorviper3 months ago#91358509ITEM #4640 is kind of neat simply because it brings to mind a scene from episode 2 of the first season where Yoshika was cleaning the deck of the Akagi :).
The version of that Yoshika wall scroll (distributed by Great Eastern) I have has a hanger built in; the scroll is permanently attached to two plastic tubes, one of which has a hanger connected.

Yeah she is very cute, if I could find her for a decent price (5K at most I would pay perhaps? but preferably <4K) I would get her, but the couple of times I saw her for sale she would be going for at least 14K. :(

The figure just also reminded me of ITEM #61997 which I thought I bought about a year ago, but someone else was faster than me in claiming the only copy...

I'm a bit confused at that part of the comment, did you insert a hanger yourself or did it come with one? This is the database page for the one I have ITEM #327578 and at the top it has a rod with 2 loops, but no wire or anything else to attach it with. I ended up using some leftover pieces of fabric from a costume to make fabric straps.

Maakie3 months ago#91314169I would say Lynette is the least interesting of the 3, Erica being 2 and Shirley being 1. In general her quality is super high, but I understand where you are coming from with the color scheme. Maybe you like her color variant ITEM #543880 better?
Yeah there is also the interesting matching 'old' Yoshika ITEM #4640 , but as that one is more rare and goes for way higher prices I doubt she is worth it when she will probably be of similar quality as this Lucchini.
Ahhh! :D Hehe I think it's the most common Strike Witches wallscroll in the Western market! Too bad you had to make your own wire/string for it though, but it sells pretty cheap compared to Japanese wallscrolls. ;)

Sazako3 months ago#91345049Hey Maakie with your cabinet set up looks great. Lots of attention to detail with lights on each level and running the wires neatly as well. I hope it wasn't a too time consuming process for you.
I bet with a lot of space its fun thinking through possilties on how you want to display them and then positioning and arranging your figures. I can't wait to see it when all figures are on display and the set up is complete. Its nice having the black background behind the figures.
I hope everything is going well for you!

victorviper3 months ago#91312870I'm not still not totally sold on the Lynette bunny sold. I can't put my finger on it - maybe it's the green and brown color scheme...
That Lucchini figure is interesting, as it captures more of her appearance from Shimada's earliest concepts of the character, but as you noted some of the paintwork is a mess.
In that last shot, I had to smile a little bit, as I have that same Strike Witches wall scroll hanging on the wall over my computer desk :).
