Should I expect the preorder to happen.Should I expect the preorder to happen.Ask MFC

I preordered ITEM #1072666 mid july one bigbadtoystore.
Mfc says the Release date was four months ago. When I first placed the preorder BBTS said that it was expected July then it switched to August when August rolled around. Am I caught in some sort of strange funk related to anime figure industry? Should I expect to be able to buy it their or am I wasting my time waiting?

I had a preorder through BBTS not too long ago. It showed up without any problems or anything, but it definitely was delayed for some reason. I got mine months after other places had stocked up. A friend of mine who uses BBTS a lot says this isn't common for them.

tl;dr: Stay patient! BBTS should definitely come through eventually!

Nope.

I think in spirit their operations are very much like a US store.

RPG_FAN1282 months ago#100107831TOM as in Tokyo Otaku Mode? This is not a US-based retailer. According to their page their HQ in is Japan:
Tokyo Otaku Mode Co. Ltd. Nagatacho GRID 2-5-3 Hirakawa-cho, Chiyoda-ku Tokyo, Japan 102-0093
So of course they will have Japanese-released items a long time before a US-based retailer.

ClMarshmallow2 months ago#100103075The only example I have is www.bigbadtoyst... which has 1 left in stock right now at TOM. The other plushes of the same line I can’t tell because they’re out of stock on at least one of the sites. But maybe they aren’t behind at all on most things, I only read about it from others. I’m still happy with their service, I had some of these ordered but I changed my mind and I’m glad they let me cancel them easily, so I would use them again.

I've never had BBTS cancel any of my orders and I order the expensive rare stuff from them. I doubt they act like airlines and overbook tickets.

Also, at least the items I've ordered -- no other US retailer has them in stock any earlier than BBTS. If you see *any* US retailer with it in stock before BBTS please shoot me a message even because I've been begging people to provide an example proving BBTS is "months behind."

I heard that even before the virus, BBTS was 3 months behind all the other American shops. I just thought I would comment because I still have ITEM #587186 on preorder with them. I only keep it to see if they will ever realize that they are never gonna get it in. Says August 2021 now.

us shops are on a 3-6 month delay from the japanese release. I have never had a preorder cancelled on me personally.

It can take a while for US shops to get stock these days. I had a few BBTS pre-orders that released in Japan in March come in stock in August (5mo delay).

I'm not saying you'll definitely get your order. TOM cancelled a prize on me recently after months of delays when their supplier finally admitted they didn't have enough stock. If you see your figure elsewhere in stock and don't want to wait anymore, BBTS allows order cancellations.
