Another small update, I thought worth mentioning here:

FAQ Update

Our sales related FAQ received an update. Probably worth having a look before your next sale or hunt for that elusive figure.

How to create a Sale or Hunt

Sales Guidelines

Maybe one or the other thing you didn't know about your account settings.

It is more in regards to people literally bombarding members with PM messages when they have a number of items to sell. We've had a number of negative reactions from members, who were receiving unsolicited PM messages and decided to address this issue more clearly in the faq, rather than having to PM each person asking them to stop doing what they are doing.

Hrm, I see. Thanks for the response!

The people I PM'ed back then had the figure wishlisted (so it was not out of nowhere). Is it okay to PM them then or is "only wishlist" not enough reason to PM people about sales?

(I would like to sell some items but also don't to break rules or annoy people of course! >.< But yeah, I don't know which people like or dislike receiving messages like that.)

*edit*

And I think I know what you mean. I have seen people posting in random clubs and on profiles stuff like "I'm selling my whole collection, please check my profile out!" etc.

Maakie7 years ago#1578620Just a small question. I saw the new rule "Do NOT PM other members offering or asking to sell items. Create a sales or wanted ad.".
When I sold some (rare) figures a while ago, I did PM a few people and mainly got positive reactions back such as: "Thanks for letting me know, because I don't have email notifications on" or "Thanks, I never check the figure's page, but wanted it." etc.
So actually it has quite helped me with selling these figures and I never got a negative reaction to it...mainly because also the buyer of the figures really wanted them, but was just not very active on MFC.
