franjandar (9 days ago) #27145323So just to ask there has been this person who has been posting about the hurricanes and what he/she had seen and experienced, but it doesn't have anything to do with figures what so ever (only in their first log book thing did it have to do with figures).
Should we report it since it technically has nothing to do with figures? The blog posts I am talking about are blog/34947 and blog/34938

It depend on how much you want to stick to the rules. Nobody is going to go into your home because you didn't reported a post on MFC. As I said, you can always ask a mod about it. Personally, I'm a pretty lenient person, so I let those kind of post be as long as they don't become spam.

Feel free to report them or not. Your choice.

If you have more questions, I suggest to open a thread here: club/99/discuss...

Are personal tragedies allowed on this site?
So far (I'm a recent user, but lurked a lot before) I think yes, as long as it relate to figures. If it is about your collection and how you dealt with an hurricane, yes. If it's about being unconfortable about your hobby with your familly, friend or lover, yes. If it's about your personal problem in no relation to figures or collecting or doesn't have at least a picture of a figure... You are probably better off elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't care about these people or post, but these kind of comments are just not the place for a collecting focus website. These are better on a personal blog or on a psychological helping forum. Why are these post not removed...Well I admit as much as I want to sometime flag them, it's kind of uncomfortable since it's basicaly "Hey I know you feel super depress right now and you want to kill yourself, but your post don't follow the rules so we deleted it.", probably making him his day....
But hey, I'm not a mod here so take it with a grain of salt.
(Can I just add that I cringe everytime someone feel depress and people tell them to go on Tumblr.)

If a topic is missing, make a new thread in a fitting club.
You can search for clubs here: club/
    and club threads here: discussion/
All the rules can be found here: about/faq/
Changes to the rules are usually only mention in alerts handling some situations leading to discussions about rule changes.

    Thank you very much.
