    I ordered these two February 2018 and I'm still waiting(do not have to pay in advance): ITEM #170520 ITEM #170526
    Due to many delayed items my Dec 2019 total maybe around 300,000 JPY and Jan 2020 around 200,000 JPY. I have already had one Dec release delay to Jan. My backlog just keeps on growing.


    Just count yourself lucky that you still did not have to pay. My beef is that it's not the budget. I have the money but ask for it when you know the item will be released not when there is a huge possibility of it being delayed. Once you get the items in your warehouse then make the payment demand not before.

    Although 300000 Yen and 200000 sounds nuts I get it though especially when you order and then things get pushed back.

    I totally feel you with all these delays! And invoicing for delayed figures was one of the reasons I cancelled all my orders on Nippon Yasan and moved them to other sites (the other reason was their poor packaging which resulted in almost every figure I ordered from them coming with a smashed box).

    But I was pretty irritated when I saw ITEM #549563 and ITEM #549564 were both being delayed 4 months. Pre-orders for those opened over a year ago, and I thought the 12/2019 release was set pretty far out to account for potential delays. But now they're being delayed even more on top of that.

    But I shouldn't be surprised as my ITEM #549556 was delayed 4 months (9/2019-1/2020). This will probably become the new norm for Native. Except Binding's recent releases seemed to be on time or only delayed by a month or so.

    Initially the release date was on : 2019-11-30
    The new release date is now on : 2019-12-31
    Could anyone confirm that item ITEM #783704 and ITEM #812713 shipped out or are in preparation to be shipped out. Would be nice to know as a reference.

    I pre-ordered ITEM #783704 at Hobby Search.
    Wanted to pay her and get her shipped as quickly as possible before their 20x points project hit on the 6th and they'd get a ton of shipments to do starting this Monday 9th, so I asked them for the fees on various shipment options on the date of release, aka December 4th.
    Go the answer a few hours later, chose a shipping option and asked for payment on December 5th, 5:00 AM Hour of Japan.
    Hobby Search obliged a few hours later, and gave me the shipment's tracking number yesterday 6th. Checking the tracking on JP Post, I confirm it's in "Posting/Collection" mode since the 6th, 10:11 PM Hour of Japan.

    So yeah, the Erza Orca bunnies definitely have been released.
    I bit the bullet and ordered yesterday the Rosso variant as well, given the sweet 20% points campaign going on.

    (I just a little miffed, had I knew their release date would coincide with the campaign, I wouldn't have preordered the black variant in the first place and just bought it with the points deal. And while I could have done this, I didn't want to be an asshole who cancels the order and then buy it with the deal, so I just let it go.)

    This is directed to all companies not just the one in this thread. LOL If the companies that make these figurine state a release date of July 2020 then great but if there are already delays in the line then why not say Dec 2020 or Feb 2021. you will not disappoint your clients you will not make the Seller ( what ever Co.) receive a back lash as they will get heat for asking for payment and then not being able to deliver the goods.
    Please notice I am not pouting out any Co. in this comment

    As long as companies don't have an incentive to actually make it up to the customer for not releasing a product on time I don't think it's going to happen. The only way they'll start meeting their own deadlines is if people "talk with their money" and start cancelling preorders which I doubt will happen like Murialita said. It's an interesting idea though.


    About not disappointing the customers with a later release date, I disagree. See ITEM #806071 . Early comments all criticize GSC for setting a 2021 release date and people just don't want to commit to something coming out a year and a half after preorders start. There's just no pleasing everyone. I personally am pleased that GSC set a realistic release date instead of a date you immediatelly know won't be the release date.

    That's really frustrating. I haven't had a problem with delays because I've only preordered a single figure so far, the rest have been in stock orders/older figures.

    Multiple delays for a figure does seem ridiculous. I can see one month... but when it just keeps on getting pushed back, that's insane. This is probably the only industry that can get away with that for some reason.

    I'm not really sure how to avoid that other than waiting for release to buy it and that isn't always possible. I like paying up front as opposed to at release but that doesn't actually solve anything. You're tying up money without getting anything for longer that way. But I guess a small benefit is you won't have payments rolling over into months where you already planned a bunch of other payments? Easier to budget. I don't know, the whole situation sucks :\

We could also wait until things get released to order them, but then production runs will be severely limited and aftermarket prices will be crazy. The only other real thing we can do is instead of complaining here, constantly complain to the companies themselves, but we are lazy, defeated, or don't want to look like jerks. In the past I made a suggestion of instead of just getting free passes by putting out an "apology" email, maybe the manufacturer could include some bonus "I'm sorry" item (like a postcard or something) or a 500 yen coupon for future orders as an apology, but the general consensus was that I was an entitled asshole.
