Comments One Year Later: How is POP UP PARADE faring?

  • For me they're too small. I'd gladly spent some more money on an actual 1/8 figure of some characters they released under this label. I voted indifferent, but actually I'm just disappointed.

I think the line is doing well and currently achieving what it set out to achieve.

Personally, I own only one of them as it's the only one that appealed to me. Most of them are from franchises I don't know or not particularly interested in. I have the Kaneki one on PO though - seems like people have mixed feelings about him pre-release, but I'll see how it goes when I get him. Already promised I'd pose him with the SAS's kagune behind him to see how ridiculous that looks :P

Sundae16 days ago#79739061I haven't bought any yet myself, but I'm excited to see future announcements. The newer ones like Akechi look nicely detailed for their size and price, and I'd love to see more game characters that might otherwise get overlooked like the Journey figure.

Was so excited when I saw the Journey one! I wish GSC would delve into indies. Hollow Knight, Ori, Shantae, Cuphead etc.

I love the idea of this line, and I'm super excited to see where it will go. Hopefully it won't be inundated by Mikus and Fate and other mainstream stuff completely, though. Nothing has caught my eye so far, but if they ever make figures of characters I actually like, I'll definitely give it a try!

I only have Chocola and Vanilla but for the price??? Outstanding! They're great looking figures and not actually that small. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this line!

Diancie16 days ago#79739021I personally love the Pop Up Parade line! I own both Vanilla and Chocola from this line and they are of great quality for their cheap prices. And they're not even THAT small! I'm keeping an eye on this line.

I quite like the 1/12 scale. Very compact and looks great with fine details.

so far I only own one PUP and that is the first ever, Miku. I wouldn't have bought her if it was for my collection only but I got her for my office and I'm super suprised and happy with her. The quality for that price is amazing. The last time I got a figure in that price range I was so unhappy with the quality that I sold it.

Of course it doesn't come close to more expensive scales, but for someone with little money it's great. I'll definitely get more of them (like Shoto Todoroki for my office and Nekopara girls for at home).

I love the character variation too!
