Comments AmiAmi Pre-owend section is to competitive

  • It might be because figmas are way less competitive than certain scales but I saw some for 520 and 780 yen and thought 'well at those prices they will be gone before I could get enough for them+shipping+potential customs.
A month later, they were still up.
Or maybe no one risks to gamble with C grade items.

Once you find your second/third items, you make the order for them, go to your account page and combine the orders. As long as it's within the same day and you haven't been invoiced yet, there should be no issues :)Yep, and actually I would recommend just making your figures a monthly order. That way you can spend the whole month checking out anything you want to buy, and ship at the end. When I used to buy a lot preowned I did this.

I don't believe I've ever bought pre-owned things from AmiAmi. But I have the inevitable story of Mandarake where I'll buy something that requires a 'store check' and get a fateful email saying the item is out of stock.

Otherwise if I am on the outside of a sold-out preorder (either on a waitlist or daily searching sites in hopes somebody somewhere has cancelled) I waste no time in making a purchase/down payment if it suddenly becomes available.

Kaffeine13 days ago#86932180Funny I'm like hella good with MANDARAKE sniper shoots got my Eva unit 1 figure for 1700 yen when its originaly 4000 yen. I use Buyfriend for amiami but people are way to fast on that site. I'll probably just stick to Mandarake.Yeah I honestly suspect some people use bots to automatically add stuff to their cart because some are way too fast to be human lol. Mandarake is much easier to find deals where if I search for a pretty sought after item it's sometimes in stock and I'm like how has nobody bought this yet? Maybe it's because you have to search pretty specific terms (sometimes even in Japanese).

2B9S13 days ago#86920178I'll admit that ever since I started using the buyfriend website I've become somewhat of a sniper myself, but that's only because I've been burned so many times in the past by the competition. Can't beat 'em, join 'em. ┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌ This whole hobby has the pressure of FOMO so you can't hesitate for a second if you're keen on getting an item unfortunately.

Honestly as this person said, it's the only way. I find the same with Mandarake for rare items I tend to jump on the one item I really wanted then ask to combine later for other bits and bobs I want to add if I manage to get it.

Well first arrived first served. I mean even if you did put it in your basket, the figure will still be available for everyone. I do understand your frustration, been there so often i cant even count but it goes by that rule
