    Thanks for the tip. I paid one on my Paypal credit and one on my bank account, as soon as I got to the agent I told her they didn't answer the claims so now I have an exact date as to when I'll be able to escalate the claim or get my money back. Overall it's looking in my favor, I just wish I could get it back sooner T_T

    I used paypal and for them it takes like 10-20 days to decide what to do or not based on the responses of the seller and they aren't responding. Is there a chance ill get my money back through paypal?

Condolences to the ppl who can't get their $$ back otherwise.I'm sorry for getting your hopes up about that. I do wish this was about AI refunding people on their own. But PayPal has had to go to the FBI regarding orders placed with Anime Island that are over 180 days since they have not heard back from them at all. D:

    So I think this is the only way to do it now, which really, really sucks.

    I know they took longer than most to ship their orders, but I did like their service and didn't mind the wait, which is why I gave it a few days and tried contacting them before taking action.

    karolannafellows (2 months ago) #27057616Better than getting banned or not refunded from another well know site "Amiami" for absolutely no reason and there dumb issue of one address per person be grateful none of that happen to you yet many people can't used them even if they wanted to maybe even sent inquiries without zero replies at all.

    This blog has nothing to do with Amiami? Anime-island shut down with no word at all and people are out hundreds of dollars. Amiami's rules are pretty clear.

    Better than getting banned or not refunded from another well know site "Amiami" for absolutely no reason and there dumb issue of one address per person be grateful none of that happen to you yet many people can't used them even if they wanted to maybe even sent inquiries without zero replies at all.

    I submitted a dispute on PayPal yesterday myself after not getting a response from Anime-Island. I feel like the silence on their end about this whole situation just makes it all the more annoying...
    I know how you feel. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt that they might have been taking a few days to go through emails, but I sent my first email as soon as the first blog about Anime Island was made.

    And after emailing them a second time and still not getting any response at all, it was just really upsetting. They're going to be responsible for refunding people anyway, so they should have at least gotten back to us.

    But I feel as if the reason they didn't email everyone who had unfulfilled orders was because they were hoping some of the people with older orders may have forgotten that they had orders at all.

    Not communicating is just really fishy. Even MH Toyshop at least had a statement on their site when they went down. Anime Island always just had "Under Maintenance" before the whole site went down.

    But best of luck with your dispute as well! I hope you didn't have too many placed.

    ymous (2 months ago) #27057575I can't even file a claim. Just says, "sorry something went wrong" on paypal. >(That happened to me, so I called and they filed the claim for me on the phone. Call their customer service line and then tell the AI "Speak with an Agent" until she transfers you.
