Comments The art of painting anime eyes on kits

  • MajesticCow1 year ago#45757884Question about the brush is it a really stiff brush or do you have buns of steel that keep the brush from bending all over?

I got buns of steel lol the brush is a normal soft bristle one. I just have a very good pulse.

I have to say I’ve watched so many of your videos and they’ve really helped me a lot. I’m still learning and have about a dozen kits I’m working on but seeing this just makes me even more pumped to finish them and post some pics. For me, I know when I’m painting eyes I feel like I’m going cross eyed XD Thank you for sharing!

You hold your breath, don't blink and lose the fear XD

Seriously tho... I sometimes forget to breath again.

I honestly like to use acrylics myself as long as they are thinned and not too thick, I think citadel paints are just a good as the Americana ones I use, I like them because they are very forgiving when you mess up, I don't worry about leaving any strokes behind because I seal my eyes with a very thick gloss and once it dries, it's seamless and smooth.

I'd say just be sure to thin your paint enough and keep your brush moist, not letting the paint dray on it and if it does, clean it and take in more paint and repeat :)

Ah, this is wonderfully neat. I just love eyes on figures, and how much weight they actually hold when looking at the final figure. At least to me.

    I love it.
