illumi4Love (8 months ago) #55090660Checked Genos page on this site and the figure is not listed, so its most likely unlicensed, but I don't think that says anything about the quality, might be as pictured, I saw some MHA unlicensed figure earlier this year and they looked decent, but I question why the company were unable to obtain a license for manufacturing, I'd be less worried about the figure, and more about the site that would sale unlicensed merchandise, it is not technically a bootleg, but then again it is an unlicensed product so there isn't any security in the purchase.
That's all I can think of, hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge and expertise can help you.

There's a large number of small entities like this one out there producing these pieces illegally. They don't want to pay the licensing fees or be subject to licensor approval of the product.

Hard one to call, it's clearly a Chinese manufacturer that will never get covered here, but it's a brand new design at least. So, bootleg because not licensed, but not a copy either.

Well, took a look at their return policies and it's like this:

    - You keep the preorder and the figure comes back crud, they give you back 70% cost and you pay shipping. So.. $66 loss on figure and ~$40 shipping likely, ~$100 loss.

    - You refund the preorder within 3 days (assuming you just did this tonight), they give you back your money, no harm no fowl. But you'll never know what they are like quality wise, as I can't find any reviews of this place through a quick Google search.

IMO I'd roll the dice on this if I was a bigger One Punch Man fan, simply based on how crazy detailed that figure looks. The pricing/size is close/on par with Sideshow's 1/6th scales, so it comes down to how much you value licensing and (assuming no one else here has quietly bought from them) being a guinea pig to determine quality of manufacture from a direct-from-China manufacturer.
