Comments Depression no where else to post, some anime talk

  • sailor_rnoon can't stop buying JoJo stuff
A lot of commenters here have said something about your frustrations with your artwork... But I wanna know, are you okay? It doesn't seem like you are. I hope that you are. I don't know where you live or how old you are, but I hope that you can reach out to someone you trust who can help you.

fantasy_trance1 month ago#96099628Don't make art for the purpose of being good at it. Make art just for the sake of it. Forget about making it look good. Once you get the ball rolling, it will be easier to keep going, but you have to get started.
When you start to work, open a window and let fresh air in and play relaxing music. The music will help to block out the irritating thoughts distracting you. The fresh air will refresh you.
I used to struggle with this really badly. You're doing the best you can; it's not your fault you have all these bad thoughts coming in. If you want to try something weird, take a plushie or some figure and set it where you work and set it down the intention that it is going to encourage you and motivate you to keep going no matter how hard it gets and it's going to block depressing thoughts from getting into your head. I do this myself, and it helps me. Maybe it will help you too.
    I'm cheering for you <3

Mm thanks! yeah today was much better than previous few days for sure, but yes music definitely does help.

Sometimes for me its hard to be motivated because i dont know who to draw even though i have several anime figures in front of me. I feel like I want to draw medusa Rider now tho,

ddarko1 month ago#96136725Hey, just wanted to say, hang in there! It can seem like you hit rock bottom or are on the way there. BUT, things can only get better afterward and it always does. Sometimes, we just have to ride out these moments in life where all seems lost and futile.
Also, just thought I’d mention it, you might want to lay off the depressing anime/media for a bit. Those things can contribute to making life seem worse than it actually is. Go for some comedy stuff. Just having a laugh can cheer one up no matter the dire straits you find yourself in.
    Stay strong! :)

Yes yes indeed, has been for a while i just err wasnt aware of reality

Nah i prefer sad ones tbh.. if its too happy then i dont relate well/ dont feel comfortable almost :o. Watching wolfs rain right now and am enjoying it a ton my goodness what a story. I always loved this one there are very moving scenes in it

But yeah when im this down no harem anime, romantic comedy, isekai etc hard to focus

mandu4201 month ago#96099267Is there a reason why you were banned on all social media accounts? I thought that was a bit strange, especially the reddit part.
    no not all of them
just on pet site and reddit
i could care less about reddit, the pet site eh it was quite the distraction and caused depression too

i had tried to appeal a past subreddit ban too many times and they just kept suspending me idk why i tried so hard
all i used reddit for was for a few things, never got into arguments either its fine tho it sucks but its whatever

but dang i dont know what fight i have left or if I have a good enough reason to fight...

Shiibuii1 month ago#96098993It's a hard path to "leave the nest" for a lot of people.
If you spend too much time thinking about how others think, you won't have an easy time making your own decisions or come to terms with said decisions.
If you need some escapism through anime, manga, figures. Etc. There's nothing inherently wrong about that. However, you can't just turn away from reality because of what OTHERS think.
Don't hate yourself, while everyone may not be special, everybody does have the gift of opportunity.
Meaning that while things may play out in unpredictable ways, you do (for the most part) have the ability to change your path.
I'm actually in a similar position as you, and with the way the world is reacting to the pandemic etc, life has been pretty challenging.
I'm no counselor and I'm not the best with dealing with emotions, especially my own. Yet the one thing I do know how to do is breathe, and as long as I'm breathing I'm going try my best to make something happen the way I want it to.
If I sat back and looked at everything I failed to do I probably would fall into a depression spiral. I know this because I've done it.
The way I've escaped is by learning to take things day by day. I used to need to see things 10 steps ahead, but I needed to learn to see things 1 or 2.
Watch your shows, enjoy things you enjoy doing for fun, and try to just deal with one mess at a time.
It may take longer and drag on, but eventually you'll get it done and you'll feel refreshed like you got out of a shower.
In the meantime, browse MFC, vent when you need to, find some cool pictures/figures, and try to not stay up too late.
Rikoei1 month ago#96098866Hmmm I’ve always known how to draw but I’ve learned to draw people in 12 years if I can so can you and I’m not as good as some people but hey I think I’m pretty damn good for someone who started out drawing animals (dogs and cats)
But it’s never too late to start drawing
sometimes i dont know if I have reason to do art yes i can pick up again but will basically be starting from scratch

its hard to get those worries out of head,
