Kenny Omega took some pretty nasty spots at Dominion. The Japanese tables continuing their tradition of being ridiculously difficult to break. Dominion and MITB are going to provide Botchamania with plenty of content for several episodes.

View spoilerHide spoilerI'm happy that Kushida retained, he had a counter for everything Ospreay threw at him. Shibata vs. Nagata was for me match of the night. Hopefully, Shibata will move up to the main event. With Tanahashi injured and Nakamura gone there isn't really anyone besides Naito and Okada at the top level. Shibata's feud with Naito at last year's G1 was fire. Actually surprised that Omega lost the belt, he took a lot of punishment. It sucks that Naito lost but there was no way he was gonna kick out of 3 rainmakers.

MITB Spoilers
View spoilerHide spoilerPraise our new lunatic WWEWHC. At least Seth beat Roman clean. Dean may have won but Cesaro and Del Rio were VIP of the MITB match. Del Rio was dominant for most of the match, I hope he wasn't injured in the falling ladder spot. That Michinoku driver to Owens on the side of the ladder was brutal. It would've been nice for a clean AJ win but he didn't lose so that's something. Overall a pretty satisfying PPV.

Ospreay/Kushida was a good match but I'm still sad with the outcome, coming out of BOSJ Ospreay was on a roll and his momentum might fizzle out now. At least he's ridiculously young and still has CHAOS. Makes me wonder who Kushida could lose it to though. I was also surprised that Elgin got the title; going into the match I was all for Omega but Rico and Matt coming out to help Elgin against the Bullet Club interference had me marking out like a little girl, and that pop when he managed to break out of the handcuffs was pretty sweet too. Shibata/Nagata was brutal, with a perfect ending. I really could see Shibata being a top guy now. Those three Rainmakers were scary, looked like Naito fell on his neck every damn time. By that point in the show I was beginning to doze off (because 7 AM lol, I hate that I always make myself watch these things live) but I vividly remember that part of the match. Ouch! Any idea what's next for Naito? Ingobernables were losing all night so I hope this isn't the end for him. Overall great show and worth staying up for, 4-way junior heavyweight tag match even managed to overcome my high expectations. Ricochet/Sydal and the Young Bucks put the MITB tag match to shame.

As for the rest of MITB, I still can't believe Ambrose won the title (and Seth beat Roman clean?? and Seth signs were pointed out on camera??). I had hope that Roman could be beaten but my faith in WWE booking decisions kinda died as soon as AJ got that second clean loss. Amazing to see AJ win (sort of) and Ambrose finally get his moment. Honestly can't remember the last WWE PPV that has left me this satisfied.

shinhawk4 years ago#11736846I totally called it! This is going to continue up to Summerslam and I can't wait!
Haha after the last few PPVs I genuinely thought my prediction was on the money but I'm so glad it was wrong. Now all I need is Sasha to be involved in the women's title picture somehow and I will totally regret passing on SummerSlam tickets. :')

I started watching NJPW at the beginning of last year with Wrestle Kingdom 9, I've been hooked ever since. Ibushi vs. Nakamura is a must watch. I highly recommend the Nakamura statue. The face and pose captures his charisma 100%. Nendo Omega would be adorable, it could come with his broom sunglasses, trenchcoat, a trashcan. Recently he's been dressing more like the Young Bucks with his switch from trunks to pants. I miss the badass trenchcoat.

WrestlingDonuts4 years ago#11684130Steering away from THE BIG DOG Roman Reigns, NJPW Dominion is tonight. Looking forward to KUSHIDA vs. Will Ospreay, Shibata vs. Nagata, Omega vs. Elgin (ladder match), and Naito vs. Okada. I'm a big Shibata fan and Nagata's my favorite NJPW old man since Suzuki is doing NOAH stuff. Kushida and Ospreay is going to be amazing (again), I could see Ospreay winning the belt since he's so hot right now. Hoping Naito retains for LOS INCOGNERABLES~
Maybe someday NJPW will release figures that aren't statues or nendos.

Can't wait!! Ospreay has made me into a fan so I'd love to see him finally take the belt off Kushida. Disappointed that Tanahashi couldn't do the ladder match and I wish they would have saved the stipulation for him instead of passing it on to Elgin but I can see their reasoning, Tanahashi needs a break and we were promised a ladder match. I only really got into NJPW this year (meaning I just missed Nakamura, AJ, and Ibushi...) so I don't know much about Nagata and was surprised when he broke Shibata's reign. I'm rooting for Shibata the badass but considering how the feud started I don't feel like a good person for it hahaha... Agreed on main event, I love Okada but Naito's reign has been really fun and I don't want it to end. I'm also excited for the junior heavyweight tag team elimination match, should be crazy! But I'm a big Sydal/Ricochet/Young Bucks mark so I'll be interested in anything they do.

I still have to get the Nakamura and Okada statues. At first I thought it would be weird to have statues of real people but screw it, they're too cool and I need em. As for Nendos, I actually think some full-size ones would be adorably awesome. Can you imagine little Kenny the Cleaner with his little broom? Ahahaha...

Wario544 years ago#11604553Damn, Dean finally winning the belt would be sooo nice, but I have a feeling if he wins MiTB it'll go something like this: Roman retains, Dean comes out to cash in, superman punch, Roman stands tall. It sets up the triple threat but still makes Roman look strong. Because that's what we all want, right? *sob*To CM Punk: You gotta make Roman look really strong.

WrestlingDonuts4 years ago#11593215It's great that you got Brooklyn tickets since it sold out so quickly. Takeover: The End wasn't the most exciting. I saw Tye Dillinger vs. Andrade Almas at one of the house shows and it was way better than the match they had at Takeover. Probably because they had more time. I've been to 3 NXT house shows. I've seen Asuka, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, Blake and Murphy, Vaudevillians, Baron Corbin, Enzo and Cass, Carmella, Tye Dillinger, Austin Aries, Andrade Almas, etc. For $10 a ticket house shows are a great deal. Orlando is a 6 hour round trip plus a 4 hour show so I've never been to a Full Sail taping. I had a chance to see the Royal Rumble this year but I skipped because Ticketmaster/scalpers suck.
There are 2 types of WWE figures, Basic and Elite. Basics are about $10 and have less articulation than the Elites, they lack an ab crunch so they don't bend in the stomach. Elites have the ab crunch, extra foot and arm articulation, and 1 or 2 accessories like ladders, chairs, robes, etc. Quality wise, they're pretty decent for the price but there are some bad head scans out there. The SH Figuarts look like they have better head sculpts but the chests look terrible and segmented imo.

Wow, you got to see both Asuka and Sasha Banks, and Austin Aries even! I'm jealous. Never got the chance to do the SAWFT chant either. T_T I thought Cien vs. Ten was actually one of the better matches on The End's card, that may have been just because of expectations though. Must have been some good shows! Aw man, scalpers are the reason I passed on SummerSlam this year. $150 for nosebleed seats, I mean really? >_>
Ah, so that's what those lines mean... Yeah from what I've seen the faces are really hit or miss, but the chest piece does look less awkward. Thanks for the info!

shinhawk4 years ago#11602326WrestlingDonuts4 years ago#11593215Dean's the definite favorite to win but I can see any one of them winning except Del Rio, I'm saying that as a Del Rio fan. It may be too soon for the Shield triple threat but I'm scared they'll wait too to pull the trigger on Ambrose. Or worse Dean wins MITB, cashes in, and loses to Roman.Dean Ambrose has been teased for the main event so many times now that it makes me feel it will happen again on Sunday. A Shield triple threat match for the WWE Championship would be a huge main event for Summerslam and the best way for it to work would be if Rollins beats Reigns at MitB and Ambrose cashes in and wins. That would leave Rollins and Reigns with entitled rematches.
Though I am skeptical of an Ambrose win at MitB and a Shield triple threat at Summerslam, the thing that gives me a small glimmer of hope is that WWE were pushing that Ambrose Asylum segment and showed off several flashbacks of The Shield during their heydays.
