Does donghua count? (Chinese anime) Some are pretty obscure in the West. I feel out of all of these entries, Non-human is the most obscure since there is no Japanese dub of it and you can't find it on Western streaming services such as VRV.

How do I know if I like characters or media that aren’t heard of outside of Japan if I don’t live in Japan? How would I know that they even existed?
(These questions are not meant to be offensive - they are asked sincerely in an attempt to expand my very limited knowledge of the manga/anime art form).
Not the creator of this club, but I took it just to mean series/characters that are less well known in the Western world than they are in JP :). For example, I'm sure most anime fans know who Edward Elric or Levi are, but most wouldn't know who Ittoki Otoya is, despite the fact that the series he's from regularly has 30k+ BD sales in Japan.
