- 2023.04.08 - We're streamlining how we do the monthly posts for the stand of the month! Rather than copying and pasting the entire ruleset into each months post and making you all have to scroll through it each time, I've moved it out into a separate thread. I've also made the rules a bit more generic to apply to any given month, and also added some additional clarification. This thread will be linked to in the nomination threads from now on, and will also eventually contain some other club rules. Check it out here: thread/19162

Acrylc that filters out UV does exist, but I wouldn't think that they would use that as it would likely be more expensive.
Has anyone had any first hand experience with an acrylc stand fading over time due to UV exposure?
I just compared one that I've had in sunlight for a few years (sunlight hitting back of it) to one I just got and assuming it was manufactured the same, it has faded a little bit. It looks a bit more translucent when sunlight hits it but other than in that situation you don't notice it.
It would take many years for it to be faded a significant amount. The white on the back of the acrylic stand protects the actual illustration both from sunlight and scratches.
Quick question, do acrylic stands start to fade when exposed to UV the same way figures do?Good question. I've never really looked into it but my initial reaction is that I would imagine they would indeed fade over time.

Just got these stands + badges in. Literally had them come 1 day after they shipped from Japan to Wisconsin, US.Nice! The fast shipping is always nice too. Sometimes it's truly amazing how quick things move literally halfway around the world.

It's all of the girls from µ's, Aqours, and Nijigaku in their subunit outfits with themed stands - very cool! They're all listed under May 27 updated items on AmiAmi if anyone wants to take a look, since I don't see them on MFC yet.
They're all up for PO now, with a release date of September. Anyone plan on picking some up? I'm debating which ones I want.
The only thing that I don't like much is that the base is too large for me. Yet since the base has her name on it, I'll let it pass.
Score: 9.995/10
Edit: I just saw the thread and I'm gonna copy and paste this there. No one can stop me from bragging about it. Humph
The winner is: ITEM #1775474
It's a very neat acrylic stand, and if anyone owns it, consider uploading some photos of it! I'd be interested in seeing some user photos of it.
As the April voting ends, the May submission window opens up! Head over to thread/19196 to submit your entry!
