Pansan7 days ago#95382430Problem is that the bottom half of your "criticism" is what that basically is, saying and asking redundant questions like "She has just naked arms and legs that's it." That's because it's a Chinese Dress its suppose to be like this. " Or she could wear gloves", you don't usually see people wearing gloves in ethnic clothes/Chinese Dress do you? "Furthermore, the dress only has red as dominant color and a few golden patterns. Why not add black or white details somewhere?" Again, its a Chinese Dress it makes sense that it is predominantly red in color due to culture. There are some semi-valid/debatable points in there but majority of the bottom parts is redundant fluff that you think is criticism, i don't know how else to drive my point across.

I'm sorry dude but just because you googled a few pictures doesn't mean every woman wears their dress the same way and every designer follows the tradition into every single detail. There has to be room for variations. I admit adding more colors is a bit of a stretch, but don't you think the girls will have some jewelry, little chains, necklaces and whatnot to add a bit of their own touch to the overall appearance?
If this figure was 12k I'd say it's acceptable to not add any details, but it's in fact 17k after JP taxes. It's not enough like this.

Figureditout8 days ago#95381592Sorry dude, but it seems you did not understand what my criticism about the dress is: It is low quality compared with other figures. I gave valid points on the lack of details compared with what I've already seen or own. If you don't understand this, or lack the experience to properly judge how much effort went into a figure, I'd appreciate if you did not accuse me of things I did neither mean nor say.

Figureditout4 months ago#87715535I really hate to be that guy, but if we are being objective here the only conclusion is that this Chinese dress is anything but stunning. It's in fact rather low quality. The reason for that is the total lack of highlights.
The bowknot at her neck is the same red as the dress. Should be a contrast color. The seam on either side of the dress is just a plain gap, but there are examples of figures by Alphamax in about the same price range where they are using a different color to make it look like a design element of the dress, so the gap completely disappears visually. There is also zero effort put into giving her some kind of unique touch in form of accessories. She has just naked arms and legs that's it. One could make the sleeves have some different material towards the end (idk the English name for that clothing style sorry), or she could wear gloves, have little arm bands or something. Furthermore, the dress only has red as dominant color and a few golden patterns. Why not add black or white details somewhere?
What I'm trying to tell you is: If you like her then that's fine. But they are really not putting a lot into her and the dress is on the lower end of quality.

The risk is its Union Creative this will either go up in value in the aftermarket and be a lovely figure really well painted. Or have sloppy paint work like an over priced prize figure and be 8k on Yahoo Auctions before you even receive her in the post. That's my experience with Union Creative. She's out of stock on Biginjap but if she comes back I might take the risk.

vexas0092 months ago#92010874Why is the price tag so high? It says non scale but is it going to be similar to a 1/4 or a 1/8
No, it's 24cm high so, around 1/7. So the scale doesn't justify this pricetag, nothing really does in fact. Just the fact that the market goes higher and higher... sad
