I got her today, and she's just as small as expected. But her overall quality is great, with a nice sculpt and all. (Well, no real paintjob since she's all black, although I wish it was even more glossy, but well). Besides, I didn't get at first what the "parts" listed on amiami meant, but actually it's just that we can put her in two modes (rest or action), I think that's a nice addition.

If Bandai were to release other Accel World's model kits, I'd surely buy them (Cyan pile shouldn't be too hard to turn into one, although I'd love to have a Scarlet Rain).

Silvery (6 years ago) #987114Of course, one can just paint her, but frankly, it would be quite easy for Bandai to just make her half-matte.No, honestly not; it's not that easy.

Of course, one can just paint her, but frankly, it would be quite easy for Bandai to just make her half-matte. And I, for one, I'm not a big enthusiast of (re)painting model kits - there's that issue of the finish impairing poseability (and the better the paint job is, the more one doesn't want to ruin it with posing).

By the way, is it just me, or do her waist/torso's proportions differ from the figma?

Silvery (6 years ago) #927233EDIT: After seeing more photos, I detract my opinion. It seems she's even more glossy than the figma. Meh.
Damn you, figure makers, can't you just show us photos with your figures looking just like they look in reality?
I always paint my model kits. So, no problem there. I was thinking on combining matte and glossy finish for certain specific areas. Can't decide completely until having the kit on hand, but I'm sure having fun with this one until the figma arrives.
