I don't want to take a $200 risk so if anyone who has past experience with other PVC figures by FOTS can provide some insight I would really appreciate it.

Seems like its likely going to be PVC and not PVC-L. Their past normal PVC releases seem to be alright based on a filtered search on MFC, the main one to be weary of is PVC-L

There are some user photos of ITEM #898423 which seems to look okay, but definitely not worth the price they're charging.
