Thaaaat's certainly a delay, huh eStream? Relieved that it cuts down on my heaviest month, but damn was I surprised eStream delayed something this far.

I’ve already pre-paid, and the delay pain is real. I just got a delay notification from TOM saying August… but heck December? That’s sad.

Just for some context, I inquired about my order from the Amazon eStream Store and one of the replies was as followed:
View spoilerHide spoilerDear customer,

Thank you for purchasing from SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE FIGURE.
Please read on to see details regarding the shipment date for the below product that you ordered.

The products were scheduled to be shipped sequentially (from around August 2022) from Amazon.
However, we regret to inform you that due to the spread of the novel Coronavirus as well as some quality issues of the products, there has been a delay in the manufacture and product shippings.
Therefore, we are afraid we would like to announce the following changes to the shipping schedule:

Due to the way Amazon works, if an order is not shipped for more than one week after the current shipping date, that order is automatically canceled. To prevent cancellation, we have set the order status to shipped.
The actual date your item is scheduled to arrive is as follows.

=========================
Product name: White - Alice in Wonderland Ver. - 1/7 Scale Figure
Estimated delivery date: Delivery is scheduled to be made sequentially from around December 2022
=========================
*The planned delivery date may vary depending on production status, weather conditions, and other factors.
As soon as the estimated shipping date is determined, we will contact you again before shipment.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or concern caused while anticipating the arrival of our products.
We greatly appreciate your understanding as we make every effort to guarantee we deliver our products in top quality.

If you need to change your address, please contact our customer support center rather than Amazon, and tell us your order number and the changes that need to be made.

jenviiy16 days ago#112177117No no I get that. I think I meant to say something like what was the point of announcing the delay to August. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, but this was originally slated for May and was delayed to July, then delayed to August. And now out to December, which is a pretty big jump from the "shorter" delays.
More like, why did they bother delaying from July to August, if they weren't far enough along in production to then have to delay to December. The delay from July to August made it seem like they were almost done with production, but this new delay makes it seem like they aren't far along at all.
Maybe there wasn't really an official delay to August to begin with and shops just kind of assumed since they hadn't heard anything from eStream during the month. Or maybe the figure really was supposed to come out in August and their factories imploded or something.

Its likely exactly what I said, before this the longest delay eStream had was ~~2 months. This time they had a ton of figures within 2 months of each other and Covid +other delays likely made them had to choose which would specifically get done first and they originally thought they could only do a 1-2 month delay and it ended up not being the case. My guess is this one had more issues then the other since it was slated the second earliest release date and now is one of the latest and the only figure they have been able to get out with the second delay was the yukino/yui figure just before august...so its just likely they asumed much less delays and instead got way more.

cameron99745617 days ago#112167771Because they at first delayed like 5 figures coming out within 2 months of each other and they likely had to change the order of production and didn't know which they would do first No no I get that.
