RacheruTheNeko6 days ago#101318099That is such shame to hear - I was always impressed with the seasonal Miku. Hopefully it was a one to mistake and not quality we will come to expect from them. Thanks for taking to time to respond.

No problem!

I know some will say I'm being too harsh, but all I'm really doing is comparing it to Taito's own previous quality. I just can't accept such a drop in quality for an "artist masterpiece" line that costs $8 more than their superior seasonal Mikus. Prize figure space at this point is limited for me, anyway. But I would still be up to buying their seasonal figures and the occasional figure like this one, if their quality remained the same.

Fairysnuff6 days ago#101270919It most definitely odd with the striping. They even seem to have sculpted her dress with grooves to make the placement of the lines easy. Unless they decided to just sculpt the grooves instead of doing the paint.
However, I adore her - instant Pre-order for me. I’m an Alice fanatic, and having an Alice Miku is a wonderful dream come true.

Yeah, I actually noticed those grooves too! Normally it'd seem like they added the grooves to make it easier to paint the lines but I get the feeling that they decided to just cheap out and leave the grooves there instead of painting the stripes. (Not to mention that the grooves only appear to be on the skirt itself and not on the layer in the back)

It's still a very pretty figure otherwise, it's just that it totally would have been an instant PO for me if it had all those details from the original artwork. But for now I'll just wait until I see how the final product looks like before I decide to get it. I'm glad you're loving this design though!

TheEvilQueen6 days ago#101310537I mistook the figure for a bootleg when I saw the first in hand pics. The paint quality and sloppiness stood out immediately. I love the seasonal Mikus I own and would never tire of buying the Autumn themed ones specifically, but if the Happy Cat figure is a sign of things to come, I'll stop buying their stuff.

Do you think she'll go up on AmiAmi for preorder?
Where can I get her if not? This looks really good.

Poppypraise7 days ago#101270483Yes, as someone who owns many prizes I'm already aware of this.
However, considering that Taito has no problems with making intricate hair ornaments/ribbons ITEM #1074950 and adding stripes ITEM #947673 ITEM #998277 I don't see why they would decide to skimp out on those fine features, especially for a line with a title such as "Artist MasterPiece" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
