naisor (8 months ago) #30901841View spoilerHide spoilerSame thing happened to me, the holes in the base for the square-shaped support pins for the main body are misaligned and can't be used properly. The plastic hole piece assembled in the base part for the left foot is particularly rotated incorrectly. It would have been better if they had used round-shaped support pins like they did in the case of Houki. It wasn't a smart move from the workshop that amiami used this time. Also, the part where the right hand with the rifle inserts came detached; though I glued it together easily.
I have been the past couple of weeks in a long negotiation with amiami to first explain the problem (with photos, videos, drawn diagrams) and they barely understood what's wrong by their replies. They offered me complete replacement of the figure after I returned it to them, which was inconvenient for me, since returning things to Japan is waaaay more expensive from my side, especially with something as big and heavy as this figure (16,100yens to Japan), and instead I requested replacements for the support pin and base at my own risk. If the replacement parts where to have the same problem, I guess it would be better for me to repair it myself.
After a looong process they finally accepted and will send the replacement parts sometime in the near future. However, the disappointment will hardly rub off specially when I bought from them TWO Houki's and both came perfect to me at that time; why should this any different? This time it's not only more expensive, but we had to wait 2 years and 4 months in pre-order (plus the couple of years in pre-production limbo), for such a poor delivery.
Bad move amiami, bad move. :/
And the result is... that the replacement parts that amiami sent to me are also defective. :/

It is all in the same area, the peg of the left leg. This time, the peg hole place on the base is not the one to received the square-shaped bars that connect both legs to the base, but a peg to receive the round parts.

This is awful, this is all a design/manufacturing flaw just because the decided to used freaking square-shaped pegs just for the legs and round-shaped pegs for everything else, and at the end they're very prompt to be misassembled (and glued tight by the way) or easily confused to put the wrong in the right place. This is a quality control nightmare.

Screw AmiAmi Zero and amiami customer service. The figure is very good, it looks nice and its a same that I have to give such a low score, but I highly advice to not buy this figure unless you can open it in person and make sure the figure can sit correctly on the base with those stupid pegs before putting money.

I think I'll repair this myself, since asking amiami was completely useless, and the manufacturer could just simple send me another defective one at the end.

shawurai (8 months ago) #30901696View spoilerHide spoilerGot mine to day... Totally disappointed. The plastic armor and weapons are assembled very poorly and are of low quality imo. The right knee armor piece even falls of with the slightest wrong movement. The total lack of an assembly manual is a nightmare to figure out how everything needs to fit together. On top of that it seems that the stand used to mount Cecilia on doesn't have the holes aligned correctly...Same thing happened to me, the holes in the base for the square-shaped support pins for the main body are misaligned and can't be used properly.
