Please tell me we're getting a Vol 2 at some point?!

So many new profiles (secondary for some witches) have been released since, even if it was half the thickness of this vol. i'd still buy it.

honestly this is one of my favourite pieces of Strike Witches merchandise, every single piece of Humikane's art in this book is amazing, it deepens & enriches the world that he has created and gives so much more character to those witches included that had little to no artwork previously, perhaps bar the typical standing pose.

I feel it would be such a waste for those profiles that have been released in magazines since not to be collected in a volume as well.

dog_patch_303rd (4 years ago) #2500175The non-aiming one, holding her gun in the air, she seems to be leaning in the direction she's holding it which would make sense to me as it looks like there's much more weight on that side.
She is cute but I prefer most of the other characters to her in the series, her figure just seemed okay to me, it didn't really give me the wow factor that Lucchini's did for example, personal preference I guess.
Fair enough.

Hmm. I always have that version out when I display her, and so far she hasn't had any issues. She's a lot cuter that way too I think. It looks to me like the shooting version of her would have the less balanced weight distribution as well.

I'm definitely partial to Lynette. I like her in the series as well as in figure form. Francesca is cute, but she's not one of my favorites of the line. I guess it depends on who your favorite characters are.

dog_patch_303rd (4 years ago) #2494594I'm convinced that my Alter Lynette is leaning, not by much but i'm pretty sure she has been since shortly after I got her, I think she might be slightly too heavy for her base, or rather she isn't balanced properly. Maybe it's just my eyes deceiving me.
If the actual figure isn't broken have you considered making a sturdier base for her? Using a metal rod or two for proper support like Alter's Witches? It would probably involve some careful drilling into the figure and sourcing a new base but I can't imagine it being too difficult a job.
Better than leaving her in the box, surely!

Which version of her did you display? I use the happy one and she never had any problems while I had her out. She's super cute; she's the cutest of the Alter line I believe.

I've thought of lots of stuff, but my hands aren't sure enough to reduce the risk of causing more harm than good to a low enough factor. I'm not going to mess with her too much. I can imaging hanging her, but I don't want to drill any holes or use glue or anything like that. I don't have enough skill to try to fix her.

spasepeepole026 (4 years ago) #2491560The only difference is in the base. Alter wouldn't produce a figure they weren't sure would hold up for at least a good while. My Hanna's base broke after two weeks of being displayed. Now she's probably going to sit in her box forever. It's a shame.

dog_patch_303rd (4 years ago) #2491186As would I. Udon has already translated some pretty niche books, some purely because of Fan Demand so I can live in hope!
Each to their own I guess, I personally see her as a Badass Warrior-Type character so I prefer a pose that reflects that.
Yeah I've never had any problems so far with my Volks Hanna, I think Junko's pose is a little more upright. Her base is smaller and seems sturdier, generally she feels more compact than their Hanna and she's a beautiful figure, she looks just as good as the Alter Witches imo.
Junko can sometimes be found for quite cheap as well, I would personally recommend her at least.

Is that so? That's potentially promising then. Here's hoping!

Yeah. She kind of is that type of character, but I don't tend to like those types of characters a whole lot. I like characters with softer sides better; the season two scene during which Mio cries in the rain is my favorite scene that features her.

Both Hanna and Junko are comparable to the Alter ones. The only difference is in the base. Alter wouldn't produce a figure they weren't sure would hold up for at least a good while. I have seen Junko for fair prices, but I'm still apprehensive about purchasing a figure whose base may be made of inferior materials. If it weren't for that, I'd probably already have her; she's a very nice looking figure.

spasepeepole026 (4 years ago) #2489674That'd be nice. I'd gladly purchase them in English. Hopefully there are enough of us to make it a reasonable project to undertake.
