I had this figure for a long time too, and I think its very durable. My extra robot parts got broken though, because I played it as a toy when I was a kid.
Very nice figure, close to being one of my favorites... If it weren't for the huge copyright text on the back of the figure, which totally ruins it. My Belldandy from the same manufacturer also has one :(
