elee0031 (7 years ago) #747626what type of paint is everyone using on her? I'm using regular arcrylic paint but it's not holding to well on the resin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you preping her correctly? (sanded, primed, and pinned) the problem with people buying this kit is that they don't know the first thing on how to paint a resin garage kit, not just for sailor moon but in general.

Document yourself first before you try to paint and build a garage kit. just my 2 cents.

I am currently working on this kit. Due to shipping a few pieces were broken i.e. one of the wings, a finger, the little white hair pieces and elbow pieces. The end piece to the wand and one piece to the back bow is also missing, which sucks.

I'm very worried about not being able to get the skin color on correctly. The face is the final piece to work on. The eyes are what I'm truly worried about.

Hope to have real pictures up soon. Oh! I think I have the Tai Resin Kit version, which is why I'm having trouble with light colors showing up on this kit.

FYI for Moon-ies: If you are looking to purchase this kit, I strongly suggest you buy one that is already painted rather than do it yourself. It's freakin' hard to do, especially if you are not a painter/artist/model painter. The only tip I can give you if you have her and want to paint and assemble her is don't under estimate NAIL POLISH as a paint type on this figure. As I stated before light paint colors don't show up well (i.e. white, skin tone, gold). This is why I choose nail polish for its solid coating. You'll see as I used the white, shiney pink, and yellow. You can use basic colors like RED and BLUE without problems.
